Re: Could I really be this lucky?

I tried an s8 autoset advantage first with a wisp mask and then moved on to the s9. WIth the S9 I took to it very quickly and had the same minor under nose irritation from a new swift fX mask. I feel much more alert during the day and look forward to sleep. I have found myself going to bed earlier t...

Re: Link between acid reflux and sleep apnea challenged

In my own anecdotal experience, there has been a link. Prior to being diagnosed I was having frequent episodes of acid reflux in the middle of the night and what I thought was heartburn anytime I had pizza. It got so bad that I just stopped ordering any tomato based pizza sauce altogether. Prior to ...

Re: MASK EXCHANGE AND LENDING

I have a lightly used Resmed Quattro FX and Mirage Quattro, both size small that came with a Resmed S9, the machine only has 56 total hours on it and these were her only masks used with this machine, so combined 56 hours between the 2, both look new, but are used. Size again is small, more appropria...

Re: suggestions for a teenager

Surprisingly, the $850 that I paid to the sleep center directly is going to be applied towards my insurance deductible, even though I did not have them bill insurance. I called the insurance company and they just want a detailed bill and receipt of payment. So far my son has not tried the machine. Y...

Re: suggestions for a teenager

Thank you for all the suggestions. I am going to let him decide, he is 18. If he wants to try it I will setup with 6-10 and see if he notices any change over the weekend. He has AP tests this week, so would love to see him more alert.

Re: Claustrophibia with nasal pillows

I am very claustrophobic and found the swift fx to work well for me. I also have the wisp, which I liked initially, but now not as much. I have the Resmed s9 elite with Epr and a setting of 2 on the Epr and 6.0 for pressure. I have the opposite problem where I have to open my mouth to make sure it i...

suggestions for a teenager

I am a 45 year old male and have recently been diagnosed with apnea. Unfortunately, I switched my ppo this year to a high deductible plan $3000, as I had only been to the Dr. once in 5 years for a required physical to volunteer scuba dive at a local aquarium. Anyway, after my wife said my snoring wa...
