ResMed AirSense 10 making noise
I have owned my ResMed AirSense 10 since July 2020, that's almost 2 and a half years. It's my second, and by far the best CPAP machine I owned. Up until 2 or 3 weeks ago, It was practically silent. Now it makes for the lack of a better term, a whistling noise. It's constant but more pronounced with ...

Re: Nasal pillows issue
I thank all of you very much for the replies and advice. They were very helpful. Just as some of you said, the soreness has lessened to a tolerable level and I'm sure will eventually stop with more time.

Re: Nasal pillows issue
Thank you all so very much for the helpful replies. I really like the nasal pillow compared to the full face. It's nice to know at some point I can expect the soreness to stop.

Nasal pillows issue
I have been using CPAP for just over 4 years. All of that time I have been using various full face mask. Yesterday I picked-up an AirFit P10 nasal pillow system from Apria. I used it for the first time last night. What a difference. I should have tried it a long time ago. Anyway I had one issue, my ...

Re: eyelids sticking
I had family visiting from out of State all last week so I'm just getting around to check the forum. Thank you both very much for the replies. I have played around with the LCD of my CPAP machine but I was not able to find any other info but I'll try again. I have Aetna HMO and I doubt if they will ...

Re: eyelids sticking
Thank you very much for your reply. My equipment is listed below. I have been on CPAP since March. Not sure what you mean about my child's therapy. Anyway I'm sure the issue is CPAP related. On the rare occasions I do not use my equipment I do not get the eyelid sticking and even with the equipment ...

eyelids sticking
Most mornings when I wake up my eyelids sort of stick and it takes a little effort to open them. I try to make sure the mask is tight enough that the air does not blow on them but most nights while sleeping the masks shifts and I sometimes end up with the air on my eyes. This is starting to cause me...

Re: Disappointed in sleep study last night
That was way different from my experience earlier this year. The place I went to was a separate sleep study facility owned by a rehabilitation center. They had rooms setup like hotel rooms with a TV and shower. I was allowed to keep and use my glasses and cellphone. They had a video monitor and a mi...

Re: A week without CPAP, how big an issue?
WOW!!! What a response. I can't tell you how much I appreciate so much advice from so many. I will make sure there will be room for my CPAP machine. I will as many have suggested leave the humidifier which will almost cut the size in half. Thanks

A week without CPAP, how big an issue?
As you can tell from my username and avatar I'm a biker. My wife and I take at least one but sometimes 2 (week long) motorcycle trips a year. I also do a couple weekend rides. I am very limited on how much baggage I can carry on my bike. My CPAP system with humidifier came in a nice carry case but i...

Re: Hello my first post.
Thanks a million everyone for the welcome, tips and advice. I'm sure what I learn here will be very beneficial. I am happy that this community is here. Before I started on this machine I had no idea CPAP therapy even existed. Learning from others with experience should make it easier for me to adjus...

Re: Hello my first post.
Welcome to the forum. If insurance will not pay for subsequent masks, cushions and other supplies, many here purchase online--for much less than local DME's charge. The middle segment of the blue box (above) labeled "CPAP product News" has links to the sponsors of this forum, for one. Other sources...

Re: Hello my first post.
Hi there and welcome from Buffalo. I've been on here about a month now and three weeks on CPAP. We seem to have similar findings. I'm 58 with hypertension, no diabetes but extreme difficulty losing weight. Virtually no apnea symptoms other than years and years of insomnia and restless leg syndrome ...

Hello my first post.
I tend to get long winded on my first introductory post to online forums . Late last November at the age of 58 I had a transient ischemic attack (TIA). After 2 days in a medical center and dozens of test they could not figure out what caused the attack (thank goodness for good medical insurance). My...
