Re: Anyone cruise with your CPAP on Royal Caribbean?
I bought a 15 foot indoor extension cord and a thing to plug into the outlet to make 3 outlets. I already have them in my CPAP bag so we shall see how it goes! Thanks everyone.

How to tell if the pillows are leaking?
I took the plunge and got an Airfit P10 today. I have been using the Airfit FFM, F10 since May. I am not a mouth breather. They have the the "for her" one, the pillows included were xs, s, and M. I put the medium in to try and will use those tonight. I could hear the mask if it leaked. How can I tel...

Re: Anyone cruise with your CPAP on Royal Caribbean?
One would tend to think so. How come? Simple demographics. I suspect that the prevalence of CPAP users is greater on longer cruises and more upscale cruise lines that tend to cater to a more "mature" clientele as opposed to Disney or carnival 5 day cruises. While many of the passengers on the latte...

Anyone cruise with your CPAP on Royal Caribbean?
Going in a 7 night cruise with Royal Caribbean in September. One of the items listed as not being able to bring is an extension cord. Will the plug situation work? We have a bigger superior balcony room, if that makes a difference.

Re: Not using humidifier?...
it's not disassembling, it's meant to come apart easily, in fact, to put it in the case for travel, you are supposed to take it apart, that way, there's no stress on the clips that hold the two halves together. The Resmed S9 needs to be disassembled to be packed properly for traveling. But the PR S...

Not using humidifier?...
When I travel on a one night stay I haven't been using my humidifier. That said I have the PR System One Auto with humidifier. I was reading another thread about detaching it to use without it. I have just been turning the humidifier off and not filling the chamber with water. Is that wrong? Am I go...

Re: Wow... a Responsive DME!
If you are lucky enough to live in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho --and portions of Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Montana-- you won't find a DME better than NORCO. My Medicare Advantage provider has never hassled me over anything my DME recommends. My wife had a different DME which is...

Change in Amount of Sleep Needed
My sleep needs have definitely decreased. I have been on CPAP for 5 weeks now. I used to be ready for bed by 9:00-9:30 pm and sleep until 7-8am and wake sleepy. Now 5 weeks in, I am not feeling the need to go to bed until 10:30-11pm and am wide awake by 6am for the past week. So I just get up around...

Re: second study show minimal apnea
Have you talked with your insurance or just Taken the doctors word. My apnea was classified as mild but with my heart condition they went ahead and treated it. No mention if insurance not covering it for mild sleep apnea.

What are good O2 Concentrators
Is a concentrator the only option for night? My infant son had a lung removed and we live at a high altitude of 6500 feet. He used the compressed oxygen. (We still have it here at home for any illnesses.) Didn't require electricity and was silent. It doesn't raise the room temp either. What part of ...

I have the PRS1 APAP with the heated hose and humidifier. No rainout ever. No experience with Resmed.

Re: Going Up the Ramp Tonight
There's nothing wrong with using the ramp feature. But the question is why his doctor apparently has set him up at straight CPAP instead of the 8-12 APAP range he told us in his other thread they were going to use. As I recall, he's never had a titration, and there's no way they got an accurate ide...

Re: Going Up the Ramp Tonight
I use the ramp on mine. It starts at 8 then goes to 12 in 15 minutes. When I start at 12, my ears pop like crazy. But going from 8-12 they are fine besides maybe one pop when I first swallow after starting therapy.

Another follow appt and some questions
I had my 2nd follow up since starting therapy 3 weeks ago. My data shows me still staying at 12 all night. My APAP was set 8-12. However, my AHI is 0.9 so they changed my machine to straight 12 for pressure. They have the ramp set to start at 8 for 15 minutes if need be. Should they have changed it ...
