Re: Unanswered Questions

bradc, I'm going to jump in here with my two cents concerning all the discussion about what supplements and/or meds might be appropriate in your case. I'd urge some caution before jumping in with both feet looking for a magic set of pills to fix the sleep problems. I'm not saying that such things a...

Re: Unanswered Questions

Just throwing this out there with the myriad of other things that may or may not be something that could help you. When I read of people with frequent wakings I have to wonder about their legs. Do your wakings include restlessness and frequent position changes? Another thing that made me ask is whe...

Re: Unanswered Questions

The can't really check for gluten intolerance reliably, but you can check for a wheat allergy, or a blood test for celiac, but if your b12 isn't abnormally low, or you aren't getting stomach issues or running to the bathroom after having a few beers or a plate of pasta, it's probably fine. Low B12 ...

Re: Unanswered Questions

Thanks for the input jnk. I have never thought about "sleep hygiene." I am definitely not following some of those guidelines, namely watching TV and reading in bed. What about listening to music at low volume? I absolutely cannot sleep without something to keep my mind occupied. I tend to have trou...

Re: Unanswered Questions

Sounds like you're in exactly the same situation I'm in. Dealing with depression, boozing it up in the past, still not feeling rested in the morning despite CPAP functioning normally. Been doing the e-cig thing, it's helped my mood, and the stimulant effect has killed off my sleep attacks during th...

Re: Unanswered Questions

I had blood work done a couple weeks ago, and everything came back normal. I have been using the same machine, but until April 14 the pressure was set at 13. They changed it to auto PAP to see if I was needing more or less pressure. No rec. drugs. No pain, though my neck tends to be sore from the ma...

Re: Unanswered Questions

Thanks for such fast replies and support... I have a PR System One 550p Auto CPAP with a Respironics Comfortgel nasal mask. I don't usually have a problem getting to sleep initially. I try to keep a pretty consistent schedule of going to bed between 9 and 9:30 and getting up between 5:30 and 6. I do...
