Re: CSA "lazy brain"

prufrock if you're an athlete and have a healthy BF% then unlike many xpap users you already have a body that cannot be improved much by lifestyle choices. If someone has OSA and are overweight or obese, such lifestyle changes can be of huge benefit and can even eliminate the need for a machine at a...

Re: Re-diagnosis concerns

Well thought I'd try one more night as suggested. Here are results from Encore. It wasn't a very long night though, found it hard sleeping:

Re: Is Resmed ASV more feature limited than Philips?

Ok just wanted to comment again on the auto off feature which we were discussing earlier this year. Have the 960P now and it also does not have the auto off function. It was manufactured in January 2014 and has firmware version 2. The more modern manual also mentions no auto off, only the older one ...

Re: Re-diagnosis concerns

At the very least, I'd want to see the full report (not just summary) myself, which of course is your legal right, and if you could post highlights here (via either a Photobucket or other link) others here can take a look and see what they think. Yes I will get the report from them I think. They di...

Re-diagnosis concerns

Just got back from sleep doc, who had some 'Good news' for me. He says that based on my study last month, I don't have OSA or any other physiological stuff happening like PLM. My apnea events were only 2.X and my oxygen saturation was above 90. He thinks that what I have instead is insomnia or delay...

Funny. I always thought it was the other way round.

About the A10 data. It is likely to be similar to S9 with extra flags for CSD and RERA (if for her). It certainly won't have less.

Re: Inconsistency with Centrals from night to night?

Good sleep hygiene is more than just the no caffeine thing...google good and bad sleep hygiene and you will get lots of reading. One of the no nos is using the computer or watching TV right before bed time (and another no no is watching TV in bed) and while I don't have a TV in the bedroom...I watc...

Re: Is Resmed ASV more feature limited than Philips?

I am revisiting this topic now and just wanted a refresher (have a nasty half amnesiac feeling this was covered before but can't see it) Does this still apply to the series 60 AutoSV? http://www.healthcare.philips.com/main/homehealth/respiratory_care/bipapautosv/faq.wpd Does the BiPAP autoSV operate...

Re: Resmed AirSense just released...will Respironics be next

However, the big question is, without looking at the code that runs the machine, there is nothing that says airplane mode can't be overridden. With most modern cell phones it is indeed possible to override airplane mode and remotely activate a handset. It wouldn't be a real airplane mode if the dev...

They claim the hose is '360 degree swivel' in the humidifier video.

While the User manual is available at http://www.resmed.com/content/dam/resmed/global/documents/products/machine/airsense-series/user-guide/378120r2_airsense10_user-guide_amer_eng.pdf, the link for the Clinical manual requires a login and password before you can download it. *sigh*. Ah so the wirel...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10 announced today. US availability 8/18/14

Finally. Looks like an alarm radio! From the images it appears they made the humidifier smaller again which I believe they did on the previous series. So that might make the humidifier run out of H20 before the end of sleep ? Looks like there might be quite a bit of depth there as well though, if y...
