Re: New Resmed Airsense 10 making wheezing noise on inhaling
I have the same problem, my machine gets very noisy, and prevents me and my partner from sleeping, ironic since the whole point of it is to help you sleep better. I'll call resmed tomorrow to see if there's anything they're willing to do about it

Re: update on my cpap settings
thanks for the suggestions, I managed to keep the mask on for 8 hours last night. I checked the filter and it was grey, and actually I can't remember the last time I replaced it. So I did that. I checked the Resmed website for instructions on replacing parts and it says to replace the tubing and hea...

Re: update on my cpap settings
1h50 is definitely not the usual. looking at the available data, average is more 6 hours usage, and I probably spend between 8-9 hours in bed. I drink alcohol at the weekend, usually Friday/Saturday in the evening. No medication or drugs. I'll try get out of the habit of removing the mask and going ...

Re: update on my cpap settings
I'm kind of at the end of my tether, desperate to improve my excessive tiredness... it's hard to concentrate on work, and hobbies, I just feel like spending the day in bed.

Re: update on my cpap settings
It looks like you started having some leaks ... not terrible, but they are also related to increases in pressure. If it were me I would bump the minimum pressure a little and see if that helps or hurts. I'm almost wondering if you are having mild arousal's because the pressure is too low and this m...

update on my cpap settings
I posted about a week ago and got suggestions to change my min pressure, which I did, here's an update: oscar.png I seem to have a habit of removing my mask during the night, because I half wake up and it just bothers me and can only go back to sleep if I remove it. what do people feel is an optimal...

Re: Can my therapy be optimized?
yeah the leaks are pretty bad - when I sleep on my side is the worst. It seems like a design flaw in this particular mask. the strap on the back of the head keeps riding up as well. and the air flow isn't great unless I sleep on my back that's the one they provide at the sleep clinic. but I'm open t...

Can my therapy be optimized?
Hey friends I bought a resmed airsense and left it on default settings. my prescribed pressure is 10. I use a humidifier. Does anything stand out to you in the charts? I still have daytime sleepiness, although it seems mild, like I wouldn't fall asleep driving a car or anything but I just feel that ...

airsense 10 climate control settings
hello I recently bought a resmed airsense, although my mask is a philips dreamwear under the nose mask. since using this CPAP, I've been having a really dry mouth with the automatic climate control. but when I try setting it to manual, I get a buildup of water in the tube and then it starts making a...

Re: full face mask recommendation
thanks for the recommendations. yes unfortunately I can't go to a technician and have them fit me with different masks. we have a national health service in the UK which is great but we bsaically get whatever mask they currently have in stock. mostly nasal pillows. they gave me a medium dreamwear ma...

full face mask recommendation
hi
I suspect my nasal pillows aren't providing the best therapy, I wake up with a dry mouth, I think I might have mouth leaks and I still feel tired.
can someone recommend a good full face mask? and how do you choose the size? S/M/L
thanks

Re: CPAP troubleshooting and REM sleep behaviour disorder
that's a bit of an extreme thing to say - I took 6mg last night and mostly slept through the night although I think I woke up briefly around 3-4 am again. after lunch I get really sleepy, so I'll go for a bike ride and I'll feel better but when I get back, the sleepiness comes back. I'm on a low car...

Re: CPAP troubleshooting and REM sleep behaviour disorder
hi again, so I switched back to my APAP machine, and set the pressure between 9 and 18. according to these statistics the pressure on my CPAP seems correct. the only issue I'm having is that I wake up around 3-4am and then I have to remove the mask because I can't fall back asleep and so I sleep wit...
