CPAP Anniversaries

After my second follow up with the pulmonologist, I'm happy to report I've been fully compliant for exactly 30 days. AHI from 8.6 (mild OSA) to .5 (not really any apnea episodes). Here's my story. I got the CPAP April 18 2014 and could not get used to it, having had severe insomnia and the ability t...

Re: 3 nights on cpap

Stephmc: Wow, I'm impressed. It has taken me 8 weeks to clock in three nights in a row. I had such trouble at first and everyone here said keep trying. I had panic attacks too, but because this whole thing started with insomnia, and I didn't want to worsen that. Once I started falling asleep natural...

Thanks for the CPAP 'HANG IN THERES!'

Thanks everyone for the tips and pointers and even a phone call. Drumroll, please, I am on my third consecutive night using the cpap, HOORAY, and hoping to clock in number 4 tonight. It took since mid April, and I was getting really frustrated, but everyone here said don't give up! Since the "insomn...

Re: A Frustrated Princess and the C-Pea-P

Which Icon model are you using? F&P Icon + This is the Sleepyhead ver I downloaded. SleepyHead-unstable-Mac-20140410.dmg I have OS 10.7.5 It seems that Sleepyhead doesn't recognize the F&P "InfoUSB 2" My mac does see it in the devices area of the finder. Many many thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks Julie, was wondering if that may be the ticket... I'll ask the pulmo…
But I think I'm not a mouth breather…but could be wrong. Maybe that doesn't matter. I dunno.

A Frustrated Princess and the C-Pea-P

I'm on day 12 with the cpap F&P Icon. Not. going. well. Last week I ditched it most nights after trying for an hour or so. Once I put it on at 3 a.m. and think I slept for an hour or two. But not even sure... Have worn it during the day on 2 weekends while watching TV and Sunday, I was quite sleepy,...

Re: I beat OSA! S8 Elite for sale

Wondering if others have lost weight and able to beat sleep apnea. The sleep doctor said this was the case for him and likely for me. He appears to be still a few lbs. overwt. I have a bmi of 30, ht 5'6" wt 205 when all this started (co-diagnosis NAFLD to NASH, diagnosed in Feb) and now down to 187....

Thanks for the encouragement frapilu. This is incredibly frustrating. It is good to hear from others on their experiences for sure. Many thanks for the call today from lliann. We didn't yet get Sleepyhead and the InfoUSB 1 card from the F&P Icon figured out but I will keep trying. The ENT said she w...

When you are ready for that, give me a holler and I'll pass it forward.<g> Thanks - anytime you can upload the screen would be great. I just downloaded the Sleepyhead mac version. Can...

Re: New to Cpap + deviated septum rhinitis

I have a Mac at home...I see there is one version of Sleepyhead for Mac from your link. Wonder if I could use the Windows version on my son's Surface... This CPAP machine works with a Mac - their only one. So you download the mfr software and then after installation put in the flash drive in your co...
