Re: Watch out for Fake and unauthorized SleepyHead websites.
they did not steal the domain, domains are given out on a first come first served basis, the sleepyhead programmer should have bought the domain long ago, but did not, so someone else did. very legal, speaking on a purely legal basis, no stealing involved, technically speaking. you snooze you loose,...

Re: Looking for CPAP manufacture
I was wanting to make a low cost CPAP unit for the poorer parts of the world and got shot down big time in this forum, guess it is easier to shoot down ideas then embrace them and add constructive input. there was some that were nice and had good input and were helpful. what killed my doing much wit...

if the donate link is not active, and the site is very sub par at best. the owner may sell you the domain for very cheap, like cost or a tad bit of a profit. would be good to contact him/her and see if they will sell it. would be a good domain for you to have. at least one should try to resolve it n...

Re: Watch out for Fake and unauthorized SleepyHead websites.
if godaddy get spam complaints they will shut it down, if one can get spam complaints high enough they will shut down the domain. that would be your best bet to shut them down. can not believe some one would set up a donation button for software they had no hand in making. that is a new one on me, t...

like Julie said, it can be other things, like low Testosterone, if it has gone down to near zero over several years from lack of proper sleep your nads can get very weak for making Testosterone. you make it when you sleep, but if your nads are weak they may not be giving you what you need to functio...

Re: inexpisive stand along humidifier
I am thinking fogger. I am going to build one and try it out, I to get dry mouth and hate it. should work if done right. I have a humidifier and it is set to max and the water runs real low in the mornings, have yet to do a 7+ hour sleep and am thinking that there will be no water left if I do get 7...

Re: Specs for Resmed S10 and PR System Two
there are a ton of great ideas here I just talked to a friend of mine, a 675 Lbs guy last I heard, and seeing him now looks like he is still all of that and then some. he was diagnosed with severe apnea, gave a brick and put on some setting, it was our local IRS guys, I know from first hand experien...

Re: suggestions for bipap settings?
Have you ever considered the SleepWeaver Anew™ Full Face Mask by Circadance. It's 100% cloth, and hence less likely to cause pressure sores. But it also has the reputation for being a bit tricky to get a good seal. do they work at high pressure? I have a FFM one and can not for the life of me get i...

what make and model machine are you getting for her? you will have to play with it and see what works best, looks like a EPAP of some where between 10 and 15 would be good start, would have max set at the max of the machine, should be somewhere around 25 and set the IPAP to around 20 as that seems t...

for the ones that suffer from leg cramps at nights, I have been told that it could mean your not drinking enough water. seems to work for my wife, she would wake up with leg cramps at night, she is drinking more water and it has not happened for awhile now. hope it stays that way.

Re: Sleep Study advice
Well, after being off Cpap x 4 days, you may not have a problem sleeping , but try not to nap that day if you can do that. And don't worry about not sleeping for the first hours because you'll still do enough afterward for them to get enough data on you... and most people say they 'didn't sleep all...

Re: got my sleep lab results, and the doc's settings suck
Sleep labs never get a best setting for anyone. How could they? They observe as you sleep in an artificial environment for a single night. I had a split study so they titrated over only 4 hours. The doc told me they ran out of time at 14 so just prescribed 15 for me. They ran out of time because th...

Re: got my sleep lab results, and the doc's settings suck
You know, I think what happens a lot with doctors (and other people) is that patients come in with problems that don't look to have easy answers... everything looks right, except the patients have trouble, so the doctor, wanting to help, to do something, suggests they try something new. Now he's 'j...

got my sleep lab results, and the doc's settings suck
Ok so I got the results from my sleep lab test, they said I needed a pressure of no less then 20 cmH2o and should have a exhale pressure of 10 cmH2o, and they wanted to set my VPAP to a SPAP as they do not trust the machine to do the right thing, they trust their one nights test results with their h...
