I posted it on Kijiji. One inquiry already.

Re: CPAP machine for sale
Not used 12 years... 12,000 hours is about 4.7 years at 7 hours per night of zzzzz's. However, point taken!sleeplessinaz wrote:You'd be better to donate it ans take the tax deduction. A twelve year old machine is not going to net you much money.

Re: CPAP machine for sale
Not yet. Good idea. I looked into Craigslist but recall seeing a "medical equipment ban" (like eBay), but will check again. Thanks for the suggestion.Julie wrote:Have you tried your local Kijiji?

Re: For the CPAP manufacturers – a few suggestions
As an engineer, I am impressed by this discussion! I'm used to the normal exhalation noise (mask port), but not when it hits the bed sheet or pillow, but would still like to hear it less (could it exhaust further from the head?) I do not experience machine fan noise coming up the air tube, but there...

Re: Advice needed on spare CPAP machine
Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated. I was not sure if one was allowed to post a "for sale" on this forum (some don't allow it), so that's why, as a newbie here, I asked for comments first. Anyway, here we go... FOR SALE or for charitable donation Make: Fisher Paykel Model: HC200, about th...

Advice needed on spare CPAP machine
Hi, All, I'm new here... but not to CPAP use, have used one for 10 years, or so. However, I'd would appreciate some advice. I'm on my third CPAP machine and, of course, I keep my second machine as a back-up (both digitally programmed and controlled.) That leaves the first machine. It's an older anal...

Re: I down to 4 CFM, no what?
I've been lowering my pressure from 6 to 5 then last night to 4. (snip) FYI, it's not "CFM", the units are "centimeters water gauge", written "cm w.g." CFM (cubic feet per minute) is a flow measurement, a dependent variable, not a set-point. The CPAP machine is set for "cm w.g.", a pressure target,...

Re: Twenty years on cpap and now at 19 setting and problems
Sorry to hear about this, my condolences. FWIW, I run straight CPAP at 9 cm and have minimal or no mask sealing problems. However, for years I have liberally applied a face or skin cream around my nose, over the bridge and under my nostrils each evening, not rubbed in. I contend that it helps the se...

Re: Humidifer & cleaning
I've used a CPAP machine for over 10 years with no mold problems (with distilled water in humidifier, of course). I wash the mask, hose and reservoir weekly in warm soapy water, then rinse it all well. Drain out the hose and mask and dry it off by running it on the machine for a few minutes... actua...

Re: Pressure at Higher Altitude
The CPAP unit produces a regulated differential pressure (DP) from ambient atmospheric pressure, a so-called "gauge" pressure, up to the machine design limit. The level of therapy is provided by this DP, not the absolute pressure.
