Re: S9 Erasing SD Card

Does anyone know what file is being written to the card? I try to remember to flip the switch, but sometimes I forget. I have accidentally erased the card twice this way. I am wondering if it is possible to remove the file that has been written so the machine won't try to erase it. Edit: I'm using a...

Re: Fort Hood Shooter - Ambien and Sleep Disorder

People can do some crazy stuff while on Ambien. My fiance broke up with me because I was not very much like Edward from Twilight while she was on ambien, and the next day I was planning how I was going to move out all my stuff and she didn't remember it at all and didn't feel that way at all! (we ar...

Re: Advice Needed, Please...

Like you, I used to smoke 2 to 3 packs a week. It didn't seem like that big a deal and I figured I would quit eventually. I started taking wellbutrin for depression and over the following months I just forgot to smoke unless I was around friends that were smoking and then eventually quit that as wel...

Re: OT: coffee-flip-flop

The flop 10 article seems to be full of pseudoscience. At least the flip 7 article is referencing studies.

Then again my bias is to want coffee to be good for us.

Re: my S9 VPAP auto is topping out at 24.8 cmH2O should I worry?

I'm not sure if I understand the problem. If the pressure is going up when you are not breathing, isn't that good? It is not as if the pressure is instigating a central apnea, because it starts at the lower value when you exhale and then increases as necessary, or am I missing the point? Oh and luck...

Re: Woke up and the hose was off and cpap was turned off

It has happened to me twice since I got the cpap that I have woken to find the mask thrown somewhere on my bed, and looking at the log on sleepyhead the next day seen that I must have taken it off in my sleep a few hours previous. Probably not a big deal now and then.

Re: just used apap machine for the first time

Just wondered if you're aware that back sleeping provokes many more apneas than side or front sleeping, and your machine has to work harder to deal with them. yes. I couldn't sleep on my back at all before because of the obstructive apneas - The nose mask that I have seemed to keep the best seal on...

just used apap machine for the first time

After a bit of an ordeal with my pulmonologist's office and the medical device supplier I got a ResMed s9 AutoSet machine. The nose mask that I got with it says "Wisp" on the side, but I am not sure what the specific model number is. The strap says "philips respironics" Anyway it seemed to work pret...
