Re: only slept 2hrs during sleep study
I've been taking generic form of ambein called zolpidem for a few years now but only take it when I need it and so far no issues taking it.

Re: Can lowering pressure ever help AHI.
May have to try lowering it slowly and see how it works. Every once in a while I get the feeling my stomach is getting bloated slightly and my mask leaks easier which must happen when the pressure goes up. Would it be better to have the high and low pressure the same or keep them different? Not sure...

Re: Can lowering pressure ever help AHI.
This is what my machine can tell me, 11. Sleep Data Turn the SmartDial to the Sleep Data setting and press to enter. Alternatively, press and hold the SmartDial for 7 seconds. Turn the SmartDial to either the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Report (US specific) or Patient Report and press to...

Can lowering pressure ever help AHI.
When I did my sleep study my AHI was 10.1 and the first 30 days it went to about 4.5 so the doctor raised my pressures max from 15 to 20 to get the number lower. Since the pressure increase my AHI has stayed at around 4.5. Is it possible that lowering the pressure instead could help or would it just...

Re: An "ah ha" moment this morning with mask...
I remember reading and watching videos on YouTube not long ago about leaks and it was the same thing, loose is better. I saw tightening to stop a leak too much could actually make leaks worse and is not good for the mask seal either. At first my mask kept leaking so I kept tightening the straps whic...

How does the pressure on F&P icon auto+ work?
I have the Fisher & Paykel Icon+ Auto machine. How does the pressure setting work? My doctor has mine set to 10min 20 max. Does the machine adjust the pressure at any number between 10 and 20 or does it use either 10 or 20? How does the machine decide what pressure to use?

Re: Off Topic Rant
We had to go through the exact same thing for me to get on my wife's insurance. Luckily though I knew where the marriage certificate was. Then of course when I did get on hers I had trouble with them not paying for stuff because I had other insurance before but eventually they paid. Good luck.

Re: Question about the innomed hybrid mask and air noise.
When I tried it there was nothing even close to the vent. For the vent I figured something that air can move through like the filter on the back of the machine where the air gets sucked in from. I swear I remember seeing a mask with a filter on the vent, could be wrong. I may not even notice it much...

Question about the innomed hybrid mask and air noise.
I just got the innomed hybrid mask today. I tried it out for a bit just laying in bed and it felt pretty good (see how it goes sleeping tonight). One thing I notice is the air coming out the vent just under nose can be kinda loud. Anybody have experience with this mask who may have tips to make it q...

How do you have your cpap hose positioned
Do people just have it laying on you with no attachments or do you have some kind of product to help keep the hose off you and out of the way? I have seen different stands and one that has like a spring loaded wire system. I wonder if these types of things can help with leaks since it seems like it ...

Re: Padacheek products for mask leaks
I found a chinstrap I had I think I will try out. It should work like the padacheek anti leak strap. The chinstrap has a hole where the chin would go the perfect size for the hose elbow and the top part is split so that may be good for keeping it in place. If it works I may still get the padacheek s...

Re: Man that headgear strap hurts my neck
I had the problem too and found the padacheek neck pad that works awesome, still use it. Before I would get a red line on back of neck that would hurt and since using the padacheek neck pad it's gone and has never come back. The neck pad also has pads for your checks connected so you don't get those...
