Re: CPAP machines and cloth masks
I tried the full face cloth mask by Sleepweaver. It was too leaky at my pressures but the people at 1800CPAP.COM took it back and gave me a store credit. Can't fault that. On the other hand, I tried the S9 Auto VPAP and it proved to be just what I needed. Thanks everybody for the advice so generousl...

How do I set the S9 VPAP clock?
I have bought a Resmed S9VPAP Auto and it is a resounding success. A small problem is that in the mornings it only reports that I have used it for somewhere between 1 and 2 hours. If I check it at say 3am, it gives the correct information. I now think that the clock in the S9 is clicking over mid-da...

Re: CPAP machines and cloth masks
The only cloth mask in the full face category is the Circadiance Anew...mixed reviews on it from that I have read. Love it or hate it..but that's sort of the way it has been with any of the cloth masks. Circadiance makes some other cloth masks but those are nasal only...mouth is uncovered. I forget...

CPAP machines and cloth masks
I am planning to buy a second machine so that I have a back-up. It seems that the S9 is a big improvement on the ICON and the S9 Bi-level would be better again. Anybody able to add to that? I am also interested in the cloth masks, every now and then the Mirage Quattro FF brutalizes my proboscis and ...

Re: BPAP or VPAP vs CPAP
Thanks folks. I wish I had known about this forum before I made the purchase. Anyway I will try some of the things that have been mentioned.

BPAP or VPAP vs CPAP
I have been looking through the topics but not having much luck. I would like to know whether a Bilevel PAP would make mask leakage any more manageable. Specifically, I am wondering whether it would allow a slightly lower strap tension if the pressure during exhale is not as high. Can anybody throw ...

Re: Distilled Water and Travel
I have had my CPAP for a year. I have always used filtered water to get rid of the chlorine which can be quite noticeable at times in Canberra. I do empty the tank and rinse it each morning but there is no salt buildup and no noticeable discolouration of the tank or seal.

Re: CPAP Seal Gel Cushion
I think my machine is set to max 17 and the seal just could not hold it. Perhaps I may have got a bad one.

Re: CPAP Seal Gel Cushion
My advice-don't go near them! I have just finalised a most unpleasant exchange of emails with these people who seemed determined to (a) hold me responsible because their product didn't work and (b) find any excuse to either deny or minimise the amount of refund. The seal not only leaked with raucous...

Re: CPAP Seal Gel Cushion
I recently tried this cushion after watching their promotional videos. It was an unsatisfactory and expensive experience. Has anybody else had a problem with the seal or with the company?
