Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Actually, no, I've never seen an allergist or ENT. Since my PCP has usually just diagnosed rhinitis, seasonal allergies, etc., and just suggested OTC treatment, that's all I've done.

Perhaps you're right, though, and I should be more proactive, and see what a specialist has to say.

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

I'll just add that full face masks have always resulted in lower quality treatment for me. They have been uncomfortable and/or leak from too many places, which I surmise reduces treatment efficacy even though the machine can officially compensate quite a bit of those leaks. I stick to my nasal pill...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Interesting, but, unfortunately, I don’t think I have any of that (or even know where to look); the original diagnostic data might’ve been almost 30 years, 3 moves, and multiple doctors ago. How about February 13th? And what's the upcoming advanced study Unfortunately I didn't sleep well enough to ...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

That AHI indicates that I'm receiving effective therapy. I definitely found THAT comforting!] Well that's all well and good if nothing happens when those really big leaks happen but you do understand that when leaks are over the 30 to 35 L/min range that the machine could lose the ability to sense,...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

...what would an oximeter do? Well, now this is only my opinion, but everything you've done up to this time has been a complete waste of time. "IMO" you have near complete fixed nasal obstruction (which means that conceivably you don't even have "obstructive" sleep apnea). You need to go all the wa...

Are you pulling the SD card out of the machine as soon as you turn it off?
Yes, usually within a few minutes.

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Another night of data is June 9th where there is more interesting discussion material: boy1.jpg There is obvious FL but no machine response. Is the FL value assigned too low to consider pressure increase? Is this the old "A10 Algorithm" where ResMed machines do not respond to FLs? Are the SleepHQ p...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Am I crazy to think that my therapy has deteriorated since making these changes? The massive leaks have destroyed everything. Your breathing, the ability of the machine to record events, the ability of the machine to address events (pressure is actually dropping during wicked events): boy.jpg All I...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Ahhh.....your flow limitation graph is pretty ugly but that's probably secondary to the nasal congestion issues. I didn't go through with the microscope on your flow rate but you have to remember that the machine responds to what it senses but it doesn't know that the FLs it senses (and will want t...

Re: Help Uploading to Sleephq

Okay, I feel as if I'm very slowly making progress on Sleephq. I reached out, and they shared that they now have a new automatic uploader app that runs in the background, without needing to download files onto the browser (whatever that means). Currently, it's only available for Mac. Anyway, I click...

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Sure, I'm "always" congested, with diagnoses of "seasonal allergies," "allergic rhinitis," etc.

I've periodically tried stuff like Nasocort, with some improvement, but then I stop since you're not supposed to use steroids for extended periods.

Re: New machine + new mask = WORSE results?

Hi, CG,

Thanks for your patience; it's taken me quite a while to get files uploaded and data exported. Hopefully, the link below is what you requested.

Re: Help Uploading to Sleephq

No, THIS try wasn't completed. But, being stubborn (and not smart enough to think of any alternatives), I just kept trying, and...for whatever reason, SUCCESS! It was like something just "happened" and BOOM, files were uploaded in seconds, and data exported in minutes. The only thing that I was awar...
