Re: SoClean airflow restriction?

I just discovered this SoClean2 thing this morning and am checking into it. I use a S9 Autoset, so wouldn't that automatically compensate for any pressure reduction? I have mine set to a range from 9 - 15 I believe so if the tubing causes a 10% reduction the machine < should > compensate for that ....

Re: Battery for PR System One REMstar 60 Series CPAP ??

[quoteOne wonders if the restriction on batteries applies to single batteries only or if it also applies to battery packs. Because the CPAP batteries are actually packs of AA batteries which alone should pass spec.] I am confused, The backup batteries I have seen on line have all been lithium batte...

Re: 6 masks down, still haven't found anything that works.

I say all this to point out that I cannot use an oral mask. If I did, I'd have to close off my nostrils somehow (I know the mask comes with something for this). One of the problems is that I find it uncomfortable to breathe through my mouth, especially when going to sleep. I had to do that for abou...

Re: Battery for PR System One REMstar 60 Series CPAP ??

Concerning the CPAP.com battery kit, they bundle their one standard battery with the appropriate DC cable and call it a "kit". The battery in the kit is the one I had the problem with. The CPAP.com rep said that the Respironics battey would work but it's larger than what's allowed on Qantas planes....

Re: 6 masks down, still haven't found anything that works.

Thanks. You too. Air Force. You? Air Force also. I appreciate the offer, but I'd really rather not use a chin strap at all. Too much extra stuff to deal with. Just to illustrate this point, I couldn't tell you where my current one is. I really have absolutely no idea where to even begin looking for...

Re: 6 masks down, still haven't found anything that works.

You're right, I didn't read back along the full three pages. I think at some point the conversation becomes to multi-threaded and it's better to begin a new discussion. And I'm new to this forum and have spent very little time on any forums ever, so whatever tricks are necessary I won't be using the...

Re: Battery for PR System One REMstar 60 Series CPAP ??

All of the information you have supplied is exactly what I would have expected and dealt with. I have detached the humidifier. It appears that your machine is not a 60 series ... I've had two battery companies say they are having problems with the 60 series. Then you probably know, you can still ge...

Re: Battery for PR System One REMstar 60 Series CPAP ??

The battery should not be a problem. It is exactly the correct one. I have the same setup and battery and they work fine. It must be defective. You should be able to get it exchanged. You are not trying to use the humidifier, are you? You cannot use the humidifier on battery.

Re: 6 masks down, still haven't found anything that works.

I use the Respironics Delue Chin Strap (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/deluxe-chinstrap-mouthleak.html), it's a huge wide soft stretchy band that is so soft and comfortable you can barely feel it, but can be adjusted to whatever tightness you need to keep your mouth closed. It has a wide velcro st...

Re: Swift II Nasal Pillows

Somebody needs to set up an exchange for these. We get three nasal pillows several times a year, and only use one of them each time. Seems like such a waste. I've been keeping the other unused pillows (I use the medium so I have a stash of small and large, except currently a friend is evaluating the...

Re: SoClean airflow restriction?

I am a CPAP user in South Korea. I was considering to purchase SoClean and found this helpful posts. (Thank you so much!!) Do you think this air pressure problem caused by SoClean would happen, even if I use auto-pressure CPAP machine? I am not familiar with anything related CPAP machine yet, becau...

Re: CPAP use & increased chance of pneumonia

I was plagued with pneumonia and bronchitis for years before starting CPAP therapy, but I got the pneumonia vaccine (and stopped smoking as well) several years before I started CPAP. However, I have had neither problem since starting the vaccine and CPAP therapy. HOWEVER, I have been plagued with re...
