Re: AirFit X30i Oral Nasal CPAP Mask
Hi everyone - former Resmed Liberty Mirage mask user here, I wanted to revive this older thread to share I received the Airfit X30I mask from my sleep doctor yesterday and tried this full face mask last night. It was wonderful and to me - the fit is nearly identical to the Liberty Mirage mask which ...

Re: CPAP and my Ears?
Hi @mbix have you ever figured out the source of your ear issues? After about 10 yrs of CPAP therapy, I developed a strange eustacian tube / ear clogging situation in one ear that comes and goes. My doctor doesn't think it's CPAP but one night, my CPAP didn't turn on (not sure what happened, maybe i...

Zonker - yes, I know you've suggested it to others - thank you! Are you able to use a nasal pillow or mask - have you resolved your mouth drop?

I LEVELED UP - tried using a cervical collar for the first time
Hi everyone, I've been using CPAP religiously for about 10+ years and with my beloved Liberty Hybrid mask being discontinued - I've decided to see if I could tackle my mouth drop during sleep to see if it's possible to switch to nasal pillows. I tried a few years ago with a few chinstraps that didn'...

Re: New User - falling asleep open mouth air gushes cause frequent waking
Hi - I'm also one of those who can't use a nasal mask due to what you're experiencing - my mouth opens and the air gushes out waking me up. I've been on CPAP for 14 yrs now and tried to switch over to nasal pillows near the beginning of my journey but gave up since my FFM was working so well for me....

Re: Newbie help
Welcome! Just like you - I was a newbie 6 years ago and determined to feel better after diagnosis, and this board is super helpful! It set me up to be proactive about making sure I could adjust my CPAP to work for me. It will take a few adjustments to be sure - but the efforts will be rewarded with ...

Re: Has anyone switched from a FFM to nasal pillows successfully
Pugsy - first of all - thank you - that previous thread on mouth breathing was so enlightening - I always wondered if the FFM did pull back on my lower jaw to make apneas worse - it totally makes sense. I got the RF nasal turbinoplasty a few months ago which has been so incredibly helpful in my dayt...

Re: Has anyone switched from a FFM to nasal pillows successfully
Jay & Pugsy- thank you! I had .7 AHI last night and my leak rate was all over the place...strange enough, I feel better this morning (2nd night with nasal pillows) than yesterday...the median leak rate for last night was 3.8 and the first night (two nights ago) media leak rate was higher, 8.6. The 9...

Has anyone switched from a FFM to nasal pillows successfully
I'm doing really well on my Liberty hybrid FFM but feeling claustrophic with the full mask...I talked to my doctor to switch to nasal pillows. He thinks I should go for it - my AHI with the FFM is 0.0-0.2 and even though my mouth opens when I sleep - he thought I should give it a go since I have suc...

Re: New - Introduction
Red70, I was in your shoes almost exactly two years ago--it's awesome, finally getting sleep. Have patience with yourself, the machine and all its strange gear--and perservere. Before CPAP / diagnosis, I had horrible migraines and was exhausted all the time--on Saturdays, it took all my strength to ...

Re: New and waiting and worried.
OH man, let us know how things go...it's horrible you have to wait so long. After I did my sleep study, I 'made up' a international trip I had to go on, therefore I 'encouraged' my doc to review my sleep study results and prescribe me that *amn CPAP...even with my so-called trip, my doctor wrote my ...

Re: My One-Year Followup Appointment Today
Sc0ttt, like you--I just went to my 2nd annual sleep doctor's appointment last week--and received an "A+++" written on my compliance report I refuse to sleep without the CPAP and he says my results have been "incredible". (I have 0% leak rate even at 95% percentile of my highest pressure, which is 1...

Re: Just got new Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet
Great to hear about the noise, as well as the size--I've had the S9 and I've switched jobs since I got my S9 and onto new insurance, my doctor prescribed me the AIrSense hoping that the new insurance will approve it (even though I"ve had the S9 only for two years) A smaller size and a quieter machin...

Earplugs & CPAP
I've been wearing earplugs for year before I was diagnosed with apnea (since I was such a light sleeper) and kept using the earplugs while I adjusted to CPAP. It's been a few months since I've been using CPAP (life saver!)...and able to sleep deeply now...I was wondering if anyone has had any luck g...
