Glad I could be of some entertainment to you, Bird. I actually think I was breathing exclusively through my mouth last night. My nose is so stopped up that no air can come in through my nose! I know a lot of people on here use neti pots. I have tried them in the past and they just don't work for me ...

Massive congestion - Warning: Pretty gross!
Okay, I use the Hybrid because I am an mouth breather. I thought that once allergy season came, I would be find because I have the Hybrid. Last night was miserable! I did my usual allergy season ritual of attempting to irrigate my sinuses with saline, taking Tylenol Severe Allergy, and then going to...

I am a side sleeper who uses the Hybrid successfully. I had some issues last night due to congestion, but I am addressing that in another thread. As far as sleeping on my side, I use the Pad a Cheeks, which as others on here have said seem to stabilize the whole interface. I have it strapped down fa...

What Rooster said. Seriously. I was using the CL2 and having problems with mouth breathing. I was up for a new mask and got a Hybrid. It has saved me! I had never been able to keep a mask on all night, even the CL2 was only lasting 4 to 5 hours and I was waking up with the mask on my nightstand ever...

Hybrid Pad-a-Cheeks - new headgear
I have been using the new PACs for the Hybrid mask and "new" headgear, or beta headgear or whatever you want to call it, for almost one week now. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! As a little background, I have been on CPAP since December, 2005. I have tried 4 different masks and have never made it through an ...

I've never used the Swift, but many here do and love it. It seems that it takes adjusting to get rid of the feeling that it is pulling up on your nose. If that is the case, then the straps are not adjusted correctly. There are many threads on here about fitting different masks. You may want to try s...

I was not trying to start a rumor. Previous posts from people who have spoken with the Hybrid people since they stopped giving out the beta gear implied that once they release new headgear in production quantities that it will be charged for. It sounded like it would be an alternative to the headgea...

I was online from ~3:30 - 4:00 am and they were popping up left and right. I didn't have the energy to start deleting so I just read what I wanted to read and went to bed. It would be impossible for a hundred people to delete fast enough to effectively get rid of the spam if it's coming from bots as...

What I don't understand is how they can charge for the new headgear in 2 to 3 months when it becomes available in production quantities. The original headgear was obviously defective. There are too many people who had trouble with it for that not to be the case. I would think they would replace thei...

I don't hear the hybrid at all unless it is blowing on something. If I'm on my back or side and the exhaust is just blowing in to the air, it doesn't make any sound. It only starts making a sound if I end up with my face in the pillow or on my arm. Even then, it's not what i would call "loud", it's ...

I called last Thursday and received my new headgear Monday. Nobody told me it was any kind of Beta or anything. They only had me tell them about the problems I was having with the old one. I was on the phone for about 2 minutes and had a new headgear in a few days. They didn't even ask me where I he...

Once I got home and took the old headgear off the mask, it was obvious how the new headgear fit. Of course the velcro goes on the outside. It has to or you would never be able to adjust it when it is on. Oops! Anyway, I just spent about 5 minutes with it in front of the mirror and I think I've got i...

I would highly recommend the Hybrid for anyone who needs a full face mask and doesn't like the pressure on the nose. I tried both the F&P and the Mirage and neither one worked for me. Tried every size and it was either too big or too small plus it made me extremely claustrophobic. The Hybrad has bee...
