Re: Resmed S8 vs S9
Mine isn't the Escape II, and it doesn't have EPR on the top of the machine.

Re: Resmed S8 vs S9
Julie,
The EPR on my S9 is 1
On the S8 Escape machine, I don't think you can set it.
I know how to get into the clinical settings on both.
And they don't even show an EPR on the S8 Escape.
That may be the problem, I'm used to the low EPR.

Resmed S8 vs S9
I have and use nightly the S9.
The pressure is set at a constant 9.
I picked up a S8, to leave at my cabin.
I set the pressure at 8.6.
However, I can't sleep with this unit. It's like I can't exhale.
Using a full mask. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks

Mask Question
I've been using the Mirage Quattro, full face mask with good luck. Just an occasional sore spot on my nose. I bought a Mirage Activa nasal mask to try. My problem is that I find it very hard to exhale with this nasal mask. The air doesn't seem to discharge as well out the vents as it does on the Qua...

Re: Home oxymeter study
I'm on oxygen 24/7, and use a CPAP machine. Your oxygen level should be in the mid to upper 90's. Not running 90 to 92 as they show on the graph. Any time your saturation levels drop below 90%, you are going to be causing damage to internal organs, heart and brain. I'm no doctor, but I'd think you s...

Re: Wisp plus oxygen equals.
I too am on O2, and have my oxygen connection between the humidifier and the main hose.
This way I don't have to deal with the O2 hose.
O2 level without CPAP or O2 - 83
O2 level with just CPAP - 89
O2 level with CPAP and O2 - 96

Re: Mask (not machine) noise
There are many possibilities, and without knowing what mask he's using, it's impossible to guess. For instance, my mask has made noise when, as I finally discovered, the thin plastic ring that fits over the 'cushion' (soft plastic part that goes over the nose/mouth) was not clicked into place prope...

Re: Mask (not machine) noise
My mask is quite.
My wife didn't even know it vented until I rolled over and she felt it blowing air on her.
I would think it's leaking if it's making that much noise.

Re: Suggestions on where to sell unit?
I still haven't had any takers yet. If any of you guys want it ill sell it to you for $85 plus shipping. I can provide pictures if you would like to see the unit. Could you email me some pics of what all is included? I think this would work for traveling on my motorcycle, as it looks smaller than m...

ResMed S9 Humidity Settings ?
Regarding the ResMed S9 Humidity Settings.
When you increase the manual setting, all your doing is increasing the temp setting of the pan that heats the water correct?
As warmer water evaporates quicker.
Thanks.

Re: OT: Remedy for cracked skin
I use super glue to heal the cracks and eliminate the pain.
Then use a good lotion to keep from cracking again.

Re: Kinda Silly Question
I'm with you PST, it's allot easier to take off then disconnect the hose.
Just didn't know if I should turn off the machine or not.
Sounds like it doesn't really matter, one way or the other.
Thanks.

Kinda Silly Question
When you get up during the night to go to the bathroom.
Do you just remove your mask? or turn off your machine too?
I've just been removing my mask and laying it on my pillow until I return.
But was wondering if I should turn machine off, so it's not blowing wildly.
