Re: Nose clogs up just as I'm falling asleep
When you wake up........are you able to breathe ok, with the mask still on? Are you able to breathe if you put the mask on, but do not turn on the machine? I say that for if you cannot breathe well with the mask on, and no machine running, your machine may be turning off due to you stopping breathi...

Re: Nose clogs up just as I'm falling asleep
Yeah I get that too sometimes, feels like the second I relax, my nose just shuts down. For me it’s usually from laying flat or dry air. Try a wedge pillow or bump up the humidity on your CPAP if you haven’t already. Also, quick rinse with saline spray before bed helps a ton. Thanks. I will give tha...

Re: Nose clogs up just as I'm falling asleep
What happens when you wake up and can't breathe? Do you remove the mask briefly? Does removing the mask let you breathe easily or do you remain with a clogged up nose? I keep the mask on. My nose doesn't remain clogged. Maybe clogged isn't the right word. It's like the nasal airway closes up moment...

Nose clogs up just as I'm falling asleep
Just as I am falling asleep my nose will clog up so I can't breathe and it will wake me up. I thought that maybe it was a hypnic jerk or an apnea event before the machine can catch it. Anyone deal with this?

Re: Still Feeling Terrible After 3 Months
I have never felt better from my many years of CPAP therapy because I have issues that prevent good sleep. One I am continually struggling with is my full face mask blowing air out the parimeter of the mask. The air blows over my face and eyes, therapy is lost, and I wake repeatedly. Last night I s...

Re: Still Feeling Terrible After 3 Months
That's a lot of leaks. I didn't feel better until I got my leaks down to zero. If the leak is coming from your open mouth, I would try several different tapes until you found one that didn't bother you.

Re: Winter Nasal Congestion
I had the humidity setting on 2 during the summer but turned it to the lowest setting of 1 last week. Didn't seem to help much. Using a Resmed Airsense 10 without heated hose. Have you considered turning the humidity setting up ? Perhaps your nose is craving more humidity now that winter is here th...

Re: Winter Nasal Congestion
Sleep therapy is still effective. AHI is good at 0.5 even with the congestion.

Winter Nasal Congestion
Anybody have a solution for this? I was having some congestion issues during the summer and I turned the humidity setting down to 2 and that helped. But, with winter starting up, the congestion and resulting headaches have returned. I didn't have this congestion problem when I lived in a warmer clim...

Re: Resmed 11 wakes me up with strong pressure and leaks
a leak strap will seriously reduce your leaks Whatever a "leak strap" is, it probably won't. A leak strap really reduced my leaks. https://www.padacheek.com/anti-leak-and-stability-straps Well, if you'd SAID that you were talking about something Karen made instead of a generic "chin strap", then I'...

I didn't feel better until I got my leaks down to 2 or less. A leak strap helped with that.
