Re: Anyone Else Struggle With Anxiety Affecting Getting To Sleep
Magnesium is a natural relaxant. You could try that. I take 2/day either Magnesium Citrate or Magnesium Glycinate.

Re: Done. Finished. I GIVE UP!
I do have my equipment posted on my profile and don't know why it's not showing up. I have a loaner autoset Resmed S9 with 5i humidifier and I use the Airfit P10 nasal pillows. According to the respiration tech I'm using EPR & ramp.I'm to get my own machine May 12th. Yes, I have tried to talk direct...

Re: Done. Finished. I GIVE UP!
I do so know what you mean. Tonight I"m sitting here considering not using the machine tonight. I'm into month #3, still using my free machine. I've been at a pressure of 9 as recommended by my sleep study but it's causing severe abdominal pain and diarrhea so on Thursday the respiration therapist c...

Re: Still tired after all these years...
Have you seen the AHI data and the leak data for yourself? Or are you just taking the word for the tech at the DME who's telling you nothing more than, "things look fine"??? I stand over his shoulder when he's reading my card. I see the sleep doctor in May and then I get my own machine. I have a fre...

Re: Still tired after all these years...
Have you or the doc or the DME looked at the data on the SD card???? And do you have a follow up scheduled? Yes, I go to the RT monthly and he checks my card. I started at a pressure of 9, he put me up to 10 and then back to 9 as I was experiencing breathing problems and heaviness in my chest. Every...

Re: Still tired after all these years...
I am into my second month on CPAP and I had hoped my daytime tiredness would have gone away by now but it hasn't. If I sit in my recliner and try to read, I fall asleep. I often fall asleep in the evening watching TV. I had hoped that by now I"d be raring to go!

Re: How many of you are 100% compliant?
I use it 100% of the time when I'm in bed but I often fall asleep in my recliner. My RT said that if I'm sitting up I don't need to use the CPAP.

Re: Intro, Cleaning Habits, etc.
I was told by my RT to wash the humidifier tank daily and the mask part. Wash the hose weekly along with the headgear. The rainout is not caused by washing it but from breathing. You can buy a heated hose (which I did) or there are hose covers you can purchase. Since I bought the heated hose, no rai...

Re: Self Treating: I've got my CPAP, now what...?
I"m fairly new to this at about 2 months however if you're self treating how do you know what pressure to set the machine at? Too high pressure (only 1 point) has caused me to have some breathing problems.

Re: Adjusting to the Airfit P10
I really like the Airfit because of no leaks. It's all I've been using for the last three weeks or so.

Re: Mask cushions: Control III or boiling with baking soda?
The respiration therapist that I see just said to pour a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid into the mask and rub around with your fingers, rinse and let dry. No mention made of boiling or buying any special products for washing and that's what I've been doing.

Re: Chin strap suggestion please.
I tried a FFM for 2 nights, the Quattro Air for Her. I still had the problems with mouth breathing and waking up with a cold nose and cottonmouth. I was so disappointed! So I went back to my P10 nasal pillows and use a tensor bandage (as recommended by my respiration therapist). It does the best job...

Different Mask
I just went to my profile to try to change my mask but I don't see the Resmed P10 nasal mask on the list. Am I missing it or is it called something else?

Re: Mouth Breathing?
I got the Quattro Air for Her when I saw the respiration therapist this week and I still have dry mouth. I was so disappointed. I thought the full face mask was going to cure that problem. I'm taking a break from it right now since I had to tighten the mask so much to alleviate the mask farts and le...
