Re: Emergency- part needed

Final update! I bought a new knock-off brick off Amazon for less than $20, free 1 day delivery by tomorrow. In the meantime, the hubby is going to the hardware store and picking up some electrical tape and seeing if he can MacGuyver it so it can work tonight. Fingers crossed! Thanks to everyone who ...

Re: Emergency- part needed

Most CPAP Prescriptions are Lifetime or 99 Months. with that prescription if you still have it you should be able to buy a machine about anywhere and some places ship overnight for free on a new machine. I am eligible for a new machine, so I'm going to get the Airsense 10. I can't get that now bc I...

Re: Emergency- part needed

Local DME says they do NOT sell parts. Just entire machines (the whole set) and replacement supplies. But not individual parts.

Perhaps you can find a DME in Chicago with one in stock?
I don't live in Chicago anymore. But I'll call my DME and see if they can cell me the part. They wouldn't see me the new machine without an updated script, but perhaps they can sell me the part. On the phone now. Thanks!

Re: Emergency- part needed

Edit: if you just need the part that plugs into the wall socket, it’s only $13. It’s the big brick part that costs a lot. I looked on CPAP.com Crap. I don't remember which side it's on. If it's on the side of the wire that goes into the wall or the side of the wire that goes into the machine. I'll ...

Re: Emergency- part needed

Thanks. The cost of a brand new part is $60, but to get it shipped overnight is $127.22 (at the CPAP shop). Was kinda hoping someone had an extra one laying around from their old machine who could help me out for cheaper. Especially since I'll have a script for a new machine (which will come with a ...

Re: Emergency- part needed

I don't know if I'm calling it the right thing. The the black rectangle thing, with a cord that you plug into the wall and a cord that you plug into the machine. That's where the wire is busted, and that's what's making my machine not work.

Emergency- part needed

Hello everyone, Last night, I discovered that my CPAP machine was not working. Upon closer examination, I see that it's because of a totally exposed and frayed wire near the port of the battery pack. While being unable to use a CPAP machine is not ideal for any OSA sufferer, the kicker is: I'm curre...

Re: Pregnant and back sleeping

What do you mean, "Examine the data"? I never examine any data currently. Are you talking about downloading that Sleepyhead software, and inserting the memory chip from my machine, and then analyzing that data? I haven't done that since I first started cpap in 2014. Once I got the hang of it, I stop...

Re: Pregnant and back sleeping

Hi all, I have the S9 autoset machine. I hadnt logged onto this site in a long time, so even though I had my machine specs filled out, the links were discontinued, so my machine wasn't showing up for you all to see. My insurance wouldnt authorize a new sleep study while pregnant to titrate me for si...

Re: Pregnant and back sleeping

My doctor titrated me for back sleeping, so that's why I've been sleeping on my back. He said that I'll have less mask issues if I back sleep, and so long as it's titrated for back sleeping, I shouldn't have any more apnea.

Maybe I should get another sleep study, this one done for side sleeping?

Pregnant and back sleeping

I just learned that pregnant women are supposed to sleep on their left side. I have been CPAPing for years now, and my machine is titrated to 19 for sleep on my back. I've gotten used to back sleeping and if I sleep on my side (rolling over by accident) I have painful aerophagia in the a.m. Should I...
