My suggestion is to fire your new sleep "doctor" (more like dictator).
Looks like he was a 'traveler' so I wont have to see him again.

I know hyperventilation is a thing, but it was my understanding it wasn't an issue unless it started causing central events or something.

Re: How High Do You Fill You CPAP's Water Tank?

Just in case anyone would like to speed up the process of filling their CPAP water tank, I included a picture of my system and a drawing of how it’s assembled. This isn't over engineered enough, we need a water level sensor, and stepper motors instead, keep just a cm of water in it and replace it a...

Any point in dropping pressures?

Had my annual sleep doctor visit last week, apparently the nice one retired so it turned into a 45 minute lecture on why it's important to listen to the doctor, and that anything under 5AHI is fine and I should quit 'messing' with my machine. Anyways, I was looking at OSCAR data for the first time i...

Determining existing mask size

I use a Mirage Quattro and have for 2 years now (With very few missed nights!) The mask is starting to show some serious wear, one tab is down on the clippy thing which makes it pop out much more often, and I feel it's time for a new mask. I can't get ahold of my DME to find out what size they'd ori...

Re: CPAPfit Pillow Illustrations - feeback wanted

Like LSAT I wonder WHY you're working on getting people to sleep on their backs? Unless there is a medical reason to NOT side sleep that will only make OSA worse for 99% of people. My pressures run higher when I sleep on my back, but only crap does my back feel better when I stay on my back all nig...

Found a fun project.

As someone who constantly rips their mask off, then wakes up feeling like hell (Tape doesn't work all of the time.) I was looking for a way to 'boost' the alarm my machine gives when it notices I'm not wearing my mask (sleep right through it) And then I found this. http://www.powerswitchtail.com/Pag...

Re: APAP

Sleapy head says System One RemStar Auto with A-Flex (560P) The back of the machine says REMstar Auto, DOM REF 560P REV00 3.XX The humidifier says System One HT Humid, DOM REF DS6TLFG REV 00 The heated tubing which is set in the machine is set to 5 of 5, the humidifier is set to 3 of 3 Don't know if...

Re: APAP

When I get some money I'll pick up a heated hose cover first, I'm not sure what heated tubing it is?

it get's it's power directly from the humidifier, there isn't an extra cord or anything.

Re: APAP

I already have a heated hose Whatever stock one came with the humidifier, it plugs right in. I'm wondering if I could do better with an aftermarket one, as the one I have runs off of a 90w power supply, and you can get 18-24 W just for the heated hose https://www.cpap.com/productpage/hybernite-raino...

APAP

Just wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction, and I'm looking for some suggestions on improving comfort. From playing with sleepy head, I increased my pressure from 5-20 (yuck) to 12-20 and my AHI is generally less then 1. Is it normal that after ~4 months I'm still using tape to kee...

Re: Victory is mine!

It was my first night at a higher pressure, and 20°F Colder in the room so I think my nose just got really angry with all the cold air it is the first time I had dry mouth issues.

I guess it never hurts to order a chinstrap anyways though.

Victory is mine!

http://31.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7vqoedT0w1qzs532o1_500.jpg Notice this has no giant gaps in it? http://i.imgur.com/7YVuTL4.png But I woke up twice because my mouth was epicly dry. How can I check if a broke a heated hose? It doesn't seem to be working, but I'm in a chilly room so maybe things wo...

More like this? http://i.imgur.com/kmgGLr1.png Yeah, last night sucked! Got in a fight with my wife over putting my mask on don't even remember... Re: Had first night!

This is what victory looks like: http://i.imgur.com/sK4JwP0.png But what I'm wondering is: Every time I wake up after having the mask on, I could not care less about the pressure, it feels like it doesn't exist, but almost every time I take the mask off without remembering it looks like this http://...
