Re: New dreamstation apap heated but no heated tube
sorry you have had a bad experience with your DME provider. I work DME and I am licensed to work in two states (RT). Your DME was correct MA (Medicaid) does not cover heated tubing. And there is no HCPCS code for an apap. It bills the same as a cpap ( E0601 ). So they switched units only to make yo...

Re: Factors under our control - meachine, mask, pressure etc
not quite sure I fully understand the question but I'll do the best i can to help. I see you are using a Bipap s/t with no humidity. If you are new to pap therapy, take your time....One thing you can control is your pace. Try moving the unit to the living room during the day where your favorite chai...

Re: Yet Another Machine Noise Topic
Do you have the new Respironics Dream Station? if so disconnect the unit from the humidifier and see if you get the same results. I have found that it's related to the seal on the humidifier. If that's the case ask your DME provider to do a warranty exchange. The unit has a two year warranty for wh...

Re: travel cpap's
thanks all for the feedback. I have a call in to Transcend. I'm sure they will warranty it. I don't use a pap device but I agree that smaller units means less quality. I tried explaining that it's been my experience that travel units don't hold up when used daily. Just wanted to reach out to my frie...

Re: . elite s7 cpap
I agree....you are due for a new unit if you choose to go that route. Most private insurances will replace a unit every 3 years and other insurances every 5. However; if you feel it is not working properly because of dry mouth it could be that it's you not the machine. Meaning..you are turning into ...

Re: CPAP Noise is back
disconnect the unit from the humidifier and see if it still makes the noise. Then see if there is water in the tubing. It could be that you need to decrease your humidifier setting or insulate the tubing

I questioned him and he is using it more as a regular cpap instead of a travel ( every now and then unit.) Any suggest...
