Re: Very New to CPAP, A Bit Overwhelmed...
First of all welcome. Firstly you have a great machine, if all the reviews and comments I read are true. and you are trying to get on with it. I know at least 2 people who just didn't try for more than a week so great start. I've been using a basic machine, s9escape which records nothing but I am st...

Import duty and tax on bringing in a cpap from us to uk
This may have been discussed already but does anyone have any experience, good or bad on importing a cpap? Any tips or things to watch out for? I know uk HMRC is pretty hot at the moment but I feel overwhelmed by the legal speak on all of their websites and cannot figure out where I stand in terms o...

Re: Trying to source and buy a second cpap or apap in the uk
Thanks for the HMC comments. I will try to find out next week. I will also raise a quick question on the forum to see if anyone has any experience of import duty on a cpap too. I have decided to go with the Airsense Auto with grayghost4. Should be a good deal depending on the import duty. Fingers cr...

Re: Trying to source and buy a second cpap or apap in the uk
Well my NHS technician at my annual review tells me they do but I cannot be sure. A guy takes my machine away for 10 minutes and then returns with nothing more than a nod to the technician as he hands me back the machine. Thanks for the suggestion with grayghost4. I've sent a pm and hope he replies....

Re: Trying to source and buy a second cpap or apap in the uk
Thanks Julie. I am a bit of a data nut and was disappointed when I researched the S9 escape just records if the machine was used or not.
All advise is helping me make a more informed decision.
Cheers

Re: Trying to source and buy a second cpap or apap in the uk
Thank you for such a detailed and helpful reply. I guess I felt this was the case but to good to get another voice. To clarify, I am looking to buy a second machine to leave in another location ( hotel away from home) rather than a second hand machine. To be honest I could be biased to Resmed as I h...

Trying to source and buy a second cpap or apap in the uk
I'm currently the happy user of a Resmed S9 escape on the NHS. i am really feeling the benefit every day and so is my wife. I travel a lot and am finding it frustrating having to constantly carry my S9 when I fly. Plus all of the plugging and unplugging, furniture shifting. (first world problem I kn...

Why use a humidifier?
I have just picked up my first cpap machine and I am, I am told, now getting much more sleep and my snoring seems to be gone . I see many people use humidifiers with their kit. Why would I need / use one ? Also I spend a lot of time travelling as part of my job. Would anyone recommend a good travel ...
