Re: F&P Icon+ data
Yes, I am pretty sure mine offers data. It was a new machine with zero hours on it when I got it a couple of weeks ago, I checked. It had never been removed from the box. The "plus" part is because it is auto-adjusting. It would seem to me that if the Sleepyhead software can be made to work with one...

Re: F&P Icon+ data
Hey Pugsy. I am in the same boast as Codemonkey. Just got my new ICON + a couple of weeks ago and would like to see some data on how I am doing, specifically what CPAP pressure it is using most of the time. The flash drive that it came with has some software on it that I loaded on my PC, but it ask ...

Re: Pilairo nasal pillows by Fisher Paykel
Well I reexamined the Pilairo pillows and it looks as if I was right. They could easily be trimmed a bit without destroying the pillow. I have been suing the Pilairo the last couple of days and have woke up each day feeling like I wasn't getting air. I immediately switch to my nasal mask and finish ...

Re: Battery power for Fisher Paykel ICON + Auto
Thanks for the great info CapnLoki. I do have another question for you. As far as I can tell there are 2 types of inverters, pure sine wave and modified sine wave. I have several inverters already, 2 of which are similar to the one I linked to here. I am not sure if they are modified sine wave inver...

Re: Battery power for Fisher Paykel ICON + Auto
Thanks for the info. My intention is to use the battery power mainly for camping away from a power source of any kind except maybe a solar trickle charger. My F&P Icon Plus Auto has a "Fight Mode" for "low power consumption". It claims to only draw 75 watts and is designed for "long-haul air flights...

Battery power for Fisher Paykel ICON + Auto
I have a new F&P Icon Plus Auto Adjust CPAP and was wondering if anyone has used this unit with a battery. I dont think it has a DC input so it would be necesary top use a voltage inverter in order to do this, but I fouind a company advertizing a DC power unit that they claim is compatable with all ...

Re: Pilairo nasal pillows by Fisher Paykel
Well today I increased the minimum pressure on my F&P Icon Auto from 4 to 5 as suggested by Pugsy and that seemed to work pretty well. I didn't get the same panic /suffocating effect i had got before. I still only used it for only half the day or sleep (a great sleep by the way) and switched to the ...

Re: Pilairo nasal pillows by Fisher Paykel
Pugsy, I am using a "F & P Icon +" in auto-adjust mode with ramp off. I tend to agree with your assessment on this. So I think the solution may be to increase the minimum CPAP level (currently at 4 cm H2O) until the feeling goes away. Thanks for your help. I may try it today (I work at night). I wil...

Re: Pilairo nasal pillows by Fisher Paykel
Thank you all for your responses. Yes I am referring to the holes in the pillows and not the vent hole. Other manufactures have different size pillows. Not sure if the nostril holes are different. Has anyone else here experienced what I am talking about? Its almost as if I get short of breath when u...

Pilairo nasal pillows by Fisher Paykel
I have just recently started using CPAP and tried these nasal pillows first. They are very comfortable on my face and the first night I thought they were great, but the next few nights didn't work so well. I felt they either didn't allow enough flow or they provided too much resistance to exhalation...
