Re: Mask Leak reset
When I take off my mask, and intend on putting it on soon, I press the switch on the top of the unit. Pressing the left or right side of this rocker switch causes the unit to go into a ‘standby’ state (pressing the center of this switch turns the unit off completely) that emits a steady but weak str...

Mask Leak reset
Occasionally, my ResMed Air Curve10 indicates a Mask leak (Smiley Red Face).
The indicator will eventually reset itself but I can't predict when.
What's the procedure for resetting the Mask Leak indicator (to a Smiley Green Face[/color)?
Thanks

Bipap ASVs only for rent?
It was my understanding that users whose insurance is paying for their machines pay a sum less than the complete amount of the unit based on a percentage of the machine cost stipulated by their insurance. (Some even pay nothing!) Now I'm being told that a Bipap ASV unit is no longer purchased at all...

Goldwater law firm ad
I'm posting this just for general information regarding the recall--and because a search on this forum discloses no posts regarding this ad. (my apologies for re-posting if I am wrong) I received a phone call from a friend regarding an ad concerning the Philips Respironics recall and targeting users...

Re: Checking companies calling back about ResMed machines
Does anyone know what the terms of Apria's 'contract' with a Kaiser Patient are? When I ask I'm directed to a place where searching for terms Philips, CPAP, etc. provides no hits. More specifically, when I purchase a piece of equipment with the aid of insurance using a % coinsurance value (this is a...

Re: Checking companies calling back about ResMed machines
So original packaging and zero machine hours are the definitive indication of a new machine?

Checking companies calling back about ResMed machines
I'm starting to get calls from companies who previously (e.g., 2 days ago) claimed to not have new machines, say they now have "one" (ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV) available. One company, who listed on its website that it sometimes repackaged a unit to "save on shipping charges" (free to customer) I'd rej...

Re: Heated Tubing???
OK...besides scores of companies that claim they have no ResMed AirCurve 10 BiPAP ASV units, I've found one selling a few units (claimed new) for $2900. How does that compare to the pre-recall charge? I'm desperate so I think I'm going for it. Since there's no way to check out the company, I have to...

Re: Heated Tubing???
#1) Seems that while waiting for ResMed to manufacture ASV machines I’ll have to try out the Philips Respironics Heated Slim Tubing for DreamStation & System One "60 Series" REMstar CPAP & BiPAP Machines … https://www.theperfectcpap.com/collections/hoses It's got this odd little c lippy at the end.....

Heated Tubing???
I'm currently searching for prices on new ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV units. I thought all tubing for all ResMed and PR devices was the same--kinky, translucent, rubber tubing. Now, I understand ResMed has a heated hose. Is this type of hose the same as all the hoses that come with masks or is there some...

Re: Doctors want to know
It seems I’ll not get any support from Kaiser/Apria regarding my current (7 yr old) Philips Respironics System One (60 Series) BiPAP autoSV AdvancedModel 960P. (At the time I spent, with coverage, ~$1800 for the unit.) I’ve registered the machine with Philips and expect at some point to receive noti...

Re: Doctors want to know
How much does the ResMed AC10 ASV (BiPAP ASV unit) cost? How is it *superior* in pretty much every way to the P Respironics System 1 BiPAP ASV? (is there an online comparison?) Are the algorithms different as was alluded to in a previous post? Seems that I'm being forced to go cold turkey on any req...

Re: Doctors want to know
Thanks. Obviously, neither the primary physician nor the cardiologist know exactly what the machine should be. And truth be told, neither do I. What I do know is that it must be a reSmed (cute!) since that is the machine Apria is currently dealing for Kaiser. Oh, and I think, rereading what you've w...
