Re: Resmed S9 water in mask
Say I keep the machine lower than my mattress as recommended. What happens if condensation forms in the hose and then runs back to the APAP? I assume the water will damage the unit. You don't say what machine you use in your "sig". But assuming you have some condensation in your tube and the machin...

Re: Routing hose up = best night so far
I have a clamp light over my head on the bed frame.
I lay the hose over the gooseneck portion if I want to run the hose overhead.
I don't need to do it some nights. Depends on congestion.

Re: masks available for the price of shipping
A big THANK YOU to College3girls for providing unused masks for free.
It makes you all warm and fuzzy to see that there are still such generous people out there.
This confirms to me that this forum is an outstanding group of people helping each other.

Re: Users of Swift FX Nasal - Advice on wear period of pillows
I boiled my pillows and can say there was an improvement. The pillow is clearer, And it is a little firmer. It did not make it as "stiff" as when new, so I am going to ask for replacements when I am in the VA early May. The bottom of the pillow body is still "drooping" and then "cupping" at the cent...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Atrial Fibrillation are connected
Lannie Yes, there are other people here that have Atrial Fibrillation. I was diagnosed with it after a bout with Congestive Heart Failure about three years ago. My Dr was about to send me to a referring Cardiologist to have my rhythm reset, But by that time my Afib had corrected itself. I still have...

Re: Users of Swift FX Nasal - Advice on wear period of pillows
Pugsy - I should have known you would be right there with help. At first I could not imagine how the O-Rings would work when I read the one post. But when I scanned down I caught it. (And I was a Hydraulic Tech On Jet Aircraft in the Marines - used lots of O-Rings! Buckets full.). But with mine it i...

Users of Swift FX Nasal - Advice on wear period of pillows
I recently got a new mask - the Resmed Swift FX Nasal. I had been using a Resmed Mirage Quattro and Repronics Amara Full Face due to chronic nasal congestion. In early March I was given a Swift FX Nasal Pillows as I had surgery that involved the upper forehead over the eye area where the other masks...

Re: Face grease
I find Palmolive "Pure + Clear" works well. http://www.colgate.com/app/Palmolive/US/EN/HomePage.cwsp#DishwashingLiquids It is listed as having "No unnecessary chemicals". It does have a very light fragrance - but does not stay on the mask for long. I've also seen Joy recommended (by the VA clinic) b...

Re: S9 ResMed - need much longer hose
My wife complains about the "whoosing" noise that the machine makes at times during the night. It wakes her up and she can't get back to sleep. I thought I heard somewhere about a 50' long hose, so I could put the machine in the closet. But I've searched this forum and googled endlessly - no luck. ...

Re: Bad Leaks With New Amara FF-Mask and ASV
Hi Ken Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the Amara. I'm wondering - do you have just the older silicone mask insert? Or do you also have the Amara Gel mask? (Both are included in the new packaging). I believe the original Amara mask had only the silicone construction. I started on the Mirage...

Re: Unknown Data Problem in Rescan
Thank you all. I'll be seeing the VA Resp dept on Thursday and hopefully everything will be sorted out.
Next issue that day is what kind of CPAP mask to use while recovering from eyelid surgery.
I'll just be grateful to get that covered. I really feel a difference if I don't use the CPAP.

Re: OT: Burst Vessel in Eye
I can't really comment on the "burst vessel". But I can recommend that at "our age" you should consider having your eyes checked frequently. A little over two years ago I went in for a routine update to my eyeglass prescription. I had not been in for about three years. I was 64 then. The Dr was an O...

Re: Unknown Data Problem in Rescan
I did reinstall the Resmed Rescan program. No change. I saved data from another Resmed SD card I had and then formatted it. Then I put it into the S9 to see whether maybe the other card was corrupt. I then viewed it on Rescan without saving over my previous data. Of course it only had the "Summary" ...

Re: Unknown Data Problem in Rescan
I think if I were to continue to get the message about the statistics not being used...I would reinstall ResScan. Especially since we know the data is there. Points to more of a problem in ResScan I would think. Hurts nothing to reinstall...it will overwrite the existing program and shouldn't hurt ...

I have not seen this come up. Is this on the machine or the computer that this statement asks this?HerbM wrote:I
When you put the card in and it asks to load data (or just explicitly load the data) and asks if you want to OVERWRITE, then allow it to do so.
