cpap use 1 month question

Hello y'all. I been using cpap for little over a month. I have noticed that breathing in deep now gives me a weird feeling in chest/lungs. Only way to explain it is like the feeling you get when you been swimming long time. No cough, no fever, just that feeling when I breathe in deep. Anyone else ex...

Re: Head Spinning

Welcome to the world of cpap. I am fairly new too. Been on it for three weeks. I did have mask issues, went through three before found my new bff! I unfortunately had to have two sleep studies! The first study the techs allowed me to fall asleep and stay asleep on my side. The pulmonary specialist w...

New with a dumb question

Ok, needless to say my supply reps are hard to get a hold off. It's a dumb question but I need to know about humidity settings. My cpap was set on 4 by rep and my nose felt congested and dry. So I googled manual on how to change setting went up to 5. Nose still feels little congested but also runs (...

Re: It is Respironics WISP

I use the WISP, it was my third mask in a week. Third time was the charm!! I love this nasal mask. Very comfy. I also changed from a chin strap to taping mouth. Surgical paper tape, keeps mouth shut without jaw pain caused by chin strap.

Re: Tell me about your chinstrap use....

Hate it with a passion. I will not go to a full face mask. I am going to try the taping method. Mentioned in a earlier post. If that doesn't work I may order and try the style they used at my sleep study. It was almost like a gauze ace bandage style. My new mask is very comfortable until I use that ...

Re: New to cpap and eye strain?

Thanks for all the advice. My vision does improve shortly after lubricating drops. So I will be investing in a eye mask, see if that helps first. Also use lubricating gel at night. If not them will see ophthalmologist. But was relieved when I had hubby buy some drops and vision cleared for awhile. S...

Re: New to cpap and eye strain?

Never thought about eye pressures. Does the increase cause your eyes to hurt? No pain or headaches. Something I will have to look into once I get proper fitting mask. Having heart ablation in two weeks so will have to wait until after recovery too. Urgh, hoping it's just a mask and leak issue. Can't...

Re: New to cpap and eye strain?

No liners. New to all this and supply company not that helpful. They did ship me a new mask today that has three different nose mask sizes. So hopefully this helps! I might have too look into liners for not only my eyes but poor sore nose. Thank you for your help!

New to cpap and eye strain?

Been using cpap for little over a week now and have noticed eye issues. I noticed eye strain, light sensitivity and dryness. It's very frustrating. I wear both glasses and contacts, and had perfect vision with them prior to cpap. Now I find myself squinting in my glasses and contacts. No I am not a ...

Re: One week on cpap and aggravated

Thank you. No chest pain at all its more on my side and around my back. It quits once I get up and take off cpap and start to move around. It's hard to tell just yet if this new mask will be the one as I believe the last mask was the cause of the sores starting on the other side of my nose. Good new...

One week on cpap and aggravated

Recently diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea after being diagnosed with afib. Last night marks one week of use. First mask was a nose mask that was too big and left three huge sores on left side of my nose. Exchanged yesterday for new mask, this too is a nose mask but all silicone no plastic or fore...
