Re: In need of a travel machine; Z1 or Transcend Auto?
There are posts which suggest that the Transcend is superior but no detail as to why the user returned the Z1 in favor of a Transcend Auto. I returned it because it didn't provide the volume of air I needed for my Quattro Air mask. When hooked up, the volume of air couldn't maintain the emergency v...

Re: New Z1 cpap machine. Smallest, lightest, and battery too
Will do...on my way to Houston to visit my daughter tomorrow. Haven't slept with it an entire night...didn't want to give up my S9 at home. Hopefully the Transcend (which is about the same size as the Z1) works out for me.

How does an AutoPap machine work?
Its absolutely incredible to me to think about the computing and mechanical power my PAP machine accomplishes each night. Is there anywhere that explains the actual mechanism ie., what it senses, and detects, what and how it does to compensate for breathing disturbances, etc.? Also...Can PAP therapy...

Decrease in AHI does not mean Decrease in nighttime awakenin
I'm into my first week and have seen a great decrease from a AHI=8 to averaging a AHI=1!! I realize that these numbers reflect a very mild condition, as compared to many others here. I would have thought that my nighttime awakenings would have decreased as well. I still wake 3 to 4 times a night. Is...

Re: Z1 CPAP noise level
Thank you for the suggestion. I think I'm just gonna return it altogether. The shop has a very good return policy. I'm going to get another ResMed S9 auto which is just about the same size when separated from the humidifier for a dedicated travel unit. Besides the noise, I don't trust it anymore reg...

Re: Z1 CPAP noise level
Just picked one up on a Friday...headed back to the shop tomorrow. I don't think it's working correctly. Besides the loud noise, the air pressure seems to be incorrect as compared to my home S9 unit. The volume of air at my low level cannot even maintain the safety valve closed on my Quattro Air mas...

Not a "Scam", but definitely BIG BUSINESS. Especially when the Sleep Doc who diagnosis you has a piece of the Sleep Study Centers, and the DME!

Travel machine and Insurance
I probably know this answer but, will Insurance typically cover the costs of a Travel machine like the Z1 in addition to a home unit? I travel quite a bit and it seems easier to have a dedicated travel unit.

I know this is most likely obvious, but is there a listing of "Do's and Dont's" anywhere!?
