Re: Mask Sits on Bottom Lip UPDATE
First night with the Quattro Air in size medium and I slept all night with the mask on and with a good seal. The texture on the portion that sits on my skin helps so much, love it. SO excited!!!

Re: Mask Sits on Bottom Lip
Ok, I'm trying out the Quattro Air Full Face in a medium. Crossing my fingers for a good night. Last night was monumentally unsuccessful with the previous mask, Quattro FX for her size small.

Re: Mask Sits on Bottom Lip
Well, since I have an advanced degree that includes coursework in chemistry, physics and physiology, I'm pretty certain I can handle cleaning my mask and that I can handle most issues that arise. So, no worries @nanwilson, I wasn't going to break out the alcohol and scrub everything down. But thank ...

Re: Mask Sits on Bottom Lip
Chunkyfrog- Yes, I have some petro chemical free lip balm that I use. I try to reduce as many synthetic chemicals on my skin as possible. Old Dude- I think perhaps the different finish on the Q. Air mask may be almost a very fine etching, based on what you have described. This would make sense for p...

Re: Mask Sits on Bottom Lip
Thank you! I did try a larger mask when they first fit me but it was a different brand and it leaked horribly which is why I think they went with the small on this one. But I'll see about swapping out for the mask you suggested in a larger size. I'm gonna trust you on that forehead piece. I do wash ...

Mask Sits on Bottom Lip
Ok, so I originally had my mask sliding around from sweat and oil. I now have some liners and my skin is not so irritated and the mask is definitely not moving so much in general. Is is still sliding from just under my lower lip to on my lower lip where amazingly it stays sealed. I think my lip balm...

Re: Sweaty face at 5 a.m.
I will turn down the humidifier, LOL ! I'm just so worried about drying out, since I have Lupus and Sjogren's which cause dry mouth already, and then I take several meds that cause dry mouth. But I can up my Cimeviline, which makes you produce extra saliva, for those that are unfamiliar. Also, I hav...

Re: Sweaty face at 5 a.m.
Yeah, I need something reusable vs. a tissue. I'll see if I can rig something up for a trial. I have night sweats and my skin is soooo oily, between the two my mask is sliding all over. Other than that I have had a lot of success for just starting out, which I am thankful for!
Thanks everyone!

Re: Sweaty face at 5 a.m.
I don't want to have to get up. My whole goal is to sleep soundly through and entire night. I'll try a baby wipe and see if I can manage to wipe things down without totally sabotaging my sleep. I tried a tissue, to no avail. Thanks.

Sweaty face at 5 a.m.
Ok, so last night was night 2 of sleeping with my S9 with the humidifier. I am wearing the Quattro FX for her mask. I am not having trouble sleeping with it or anything, which I find shocking. Except to say that around 5 am my skin has become oily or sweaty and the mask starts sliding around, and I ...

Re: How much is weight related to apnea?
@Borgready -I take some anti-depressants and medications for neuropathic pain, and sometimes prednisone. All of which are pretty necessary right now. I take other meds but don't think they are contributing to the extra weight. And I only take the prednisone as needed, I'm not on it constantly or I w...

Re: How much is weight related to apnea?
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your responses! Because of the meds I take, some of which cause weight gain while others just make it hard to lose, I have gained about 20lbs over the last year and a half. Having other health conditions with fatigue as a primary symptom doesn't help. Then pile s...

How much is weight related to apnea?
Are there a lot of thin people with apnea or is weight almost always a factor? I'm not trying to offend anyone. But honestly, my first response to my horrible sleep study results were, this is because I've gained weight!!! So I'm wondering if losing weight typically improves the apnea, does it depen...
