Re: best hose hanger?
If you have a bit of the DIYer in you, here's a link to a photo and (rough) set of directions on how to make one yourself. I made it about 19 months ago, and it has been ideal. I designed it to fit my bed, and as it is rigid piece of steel, it does not "break down" for travel. But it is rock solid, ...

Re: My Success with CPAP
Great story. I'll chime in with one clear benefit I am seeing after only one month of CPAP. In early November saw my MD (before I'd had my sleep study, but I was pretty sure I had sleep apnea given my family history and symptoms). He noted my blood pressure was up in the 140/95 range, and recommende...

DIY Hose Hanger
Inspired by the many stories I've read here, I made a hose hanger for $9.00, using nothing more than a vice, a Vice Grip, and a little elbow grease. Here's a picture of the finished product: 20140209_181351.jpg I have seen some hose hangers you can purchase which have a triangular base that slips be...

Re: Built-in leak rate of the Innomed Hybrid
First link shows Whitebeard's modification to the Mirage Liberty -- last two show mods to the Hybrid. You'll need to scroll down to see pics; in essence, he connects various elastic bands to the headgear to pull the pillows up for a tighter fit. http://www.apneasupport.org/viewtopic.p%20...%20ht=lib...

Re: Total leaks LESS than spec'd intentional leaks?
I do use a 10 minute ramp (starting a 6), and flex (set at 3). Hadn't thought about the impact of those...thanks.

Re: Total leaks LESS than spec'd intentional leaks?
Thanks, Pugsy. That was my initial assumption, but it's nice to have it confirmed by someone who knows.

Total leaks LESS than spec'd intentional leaks?
Here's a bit of a puzzle .. to me, at least. First post, brief background -- began CPAP three weeks ago (sleep study showed AHI of 45.1). Machine is PR System One DS460; pressure is 12; mask is Fisher and Paykal Pilairo. I have been using Sleepyhead (many thanks for the tutorials, Pugsy), and all lo...

Re: Pulse oximeter
End of the YouTube video review notes that (a) it shows up as "Silicon Bridge" on your computer, and (b) as Goofproof notes, you must use the USB cable that came with the device; a "standard" mini-usb won't work. Finally, what sort of computer are you using? This device is not MAC compatible (but ma...
