Re: Finally Getting Somewhere...
That's good news. Yes, in my experience a scattering of RERAs and hypopneas tend to show up during waking times or Stage One transition periods, mostly in/out of REM. That's pretty typical. Below is a normal person's sleep architecture... via the horizontal time line at the bottom, see if your even...

Finally Getting Somewhere...
I just wanted to post about my experience last night. I finally got that really good sleep feeling last night. I don't know if it's the best I can get, but I'm definitely feeling great. RDI of 0.70 and a solid 7 hours of sleep. I'm hoping this will continue and will report back periodically. Please ...

Chart Analysis - Arousal
Hello all, I've been adapting to xPAP therapy, and I do feel the benefits. However, last night I suddenly woke up around 2:20am and felt very alert/hot. I couldn't fall asleep for about 30mins eventhough I was confortable and laid very still. I was using the Swift FX at the time, then decided to swi...

Re: Still New and Sleepy - Interpreting Flow Graphs
Do you normally get 7 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep each night? Do you take any meds of any kind (even OTC)? Are the hours of sleep you are getting fragmented with very many wake ups? I get 6.5 to 7.5 hours every night. I'm taking lipitor and using flonase every night. I haven't been noticing as much wak...

Still New and Sleepy - Interpreting Flow Graphs
Hi All, I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. Male, early 30's, normal weight/BMI so I think I may have UARS. My numbers seem to look good with RDI of less than 1, as many others mentioned I'm still feeling sleepy during the day. I've only been on CPAP for about 2 weeks so I still may just need to ...

Re: Mask Help
I want to thank everyone for their responses. I'm finding that 5cm is too low for the nasal mask. I took out the diffuser which helped, but I still feel that the Eson doesn't vent off the exhaled air fast enough at my prescribed pressure. I'm slowly tolerating the FF more and starting to see improve...

Re: Mask Help
I believe 5 cm (just one up from 4) is too low for any normal human to breathe at. This was what I was thinking also during my "auto" titration for a week where the pressure was wide open from 4-20 using the nasal mask. I was hoping that the prescribed 5.0cm would be enough for the nasal mask, but ...

If you'd like to continue experimenting with your Mirage Quattro for allergy season, I suggest you try padacheek.com for a comfortable liner. I use one for my Quattro FX, and the comfort is greatly enhanced. That's a great idea. I'll check it out. Is your machine set wide open to 4-20? A low pressu...

Mask Help
Hello All, I was recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and stumbled across this site. I've learned so much invaluable information here. I've tried searching for my question, but came up empty. Here's my mask situation. I was given a machine for a one week trial, and the sleep lab recommended a na...
