Re: ASV, hybrid mask, leaks, TONS of air pressure
I used the Mirage hybrid for a few nights but couldn't stand the pressure on my nostrils and the loud air sound. It was a lot louder than the Amara FFM that I was using. And the elbow for the hose attachment also made a squeaky noise all night. I think the loud pressure noise is the mask itself imo....

Re: Getting Frustrated
I wish there was a place where I could take the mask on a "test-run" before I committed. I have tried three different masks and it takes so long for the supply co to get me a new one. I would love to try the nasal mask and even the cloth mask to see if it would be better. I have a sensitivity to adh...

Getting Frustrated
I'm getting so frustrated with my numbers and I am not sure if I am obsessing too much over them, or if this is normal. I have received so much help reading these boards before I thought I would put this out there and see if ya'll could help. I have been using CPAP since December 13. First of all, I...

Re: Newly Diagnosed
wow! I could have written the original post myself. I've been struggling with insomnia that has progressively gotten worse for years now. I complained to the doc about constant fatigue, mood swings, loss of concentration and after various blood tests to test my thyroid and RA, he would prescribe sle...

Re: complete newbie troubles
Yay! I turned my Flex setting from 2 to 1, and raised my ramp minimum to 5 and my max CPAP to 11cm. Last night my AHI was .9 as opposed to the previous night's 5.7 and I woke bright and early, which I suppose means I slept well. I will leave my setting as is and watch it for a few days to see if I n...

Re: complete newbie troubles
Thank you for your responses and suggestions; I've learned a lot from this forum! I think I will call my doc tomorrow and see about getting my machine pressure increased, or at least showing them the data as RobySue suggested. Right now it ramps from 4-10 max. My hubby just got his machine and he's ...

How do I post a screenshot? I know how to screen shot, but couldn't figure out how to paste it in the post.

complete newbie troubles
I am a complete newbie and started CPAP therapy on December 13. The first few nights were hard; I would wake up feeling claustrophobic with the full face mask on at full 10 pressure. Not to mention the permanent red pressure mark on the bridge of my nose, which led me to this site where I got some h...
