Re: compliance question
Thanks for the post. It just threw me for a loop to go to my sleep doc told everything looks good machine is doing it's job and I will see you in a year. And that was my whole doctor visit. I was thinking I would continually have to go to the dme and have my compliance checked every so often, but es...

compliance question
Ok,I went to my sleep doctor today. he said every thing is fine. See you in a year. Well, my question is how will I meet compliancy with my insurance if I don't take my machine back to be downloaded. Also, why did my DME say I have a 10 month rental when I hit my cpap 6 weeks ago, but the paper work...

Re: mask leaks and trying to understand mine
Sorry I have a terrible tendency to over think situations such as this. I have ADD and well when things pop into my mind I dwell on them for as long as I can, which leads to over thinking. I was just trying to figure out what these numbers mean. Basically how accurate are these numbers if they can b...

Re: mask leaks and trying to understand mine
Sorry I see numbers and statistics and I wanna tear them apart and look into them just because I can. I don't know but I am a freak like that pretty much like sheldon on big bang theory, but since I am butt a lowly electrician I don't get to do it much. Sorry I will try to keep the break downs to my...

mask leaks and trying to understand mine
So I had been battling many mask leaks with my Quattro Air, but for little over a week now I haven't been waking up with leaks as much. But when I look at sleepyhead and resccan my leak graph looks crazy, but my median score is about 15.4, which means half time I am below this Mark and half time I a...

Re: newbie
Well welcome, First things first. Everyone needs to know what equipment you are working with because what helps for one machine won't work for another. So you need to go to Your profile and add your equipment. Your paper work should have maker and model of machine, mask, humidifier and what not. You...

Re: new to this
First things first. 1. Need to find out if her is a mouth breather. Simple to figure out. When you walk into room while he is sleeping is his mouth open. Does he complain of dry mouth borderline painfully dry when he awakens? If answer to either question or both is yes then he is a mouth breather, w...

Re: Pulling Teeth And Using Machine
I would say, imo, that it depends on what your of mask and whether you mouth breath or not. I don't really think it should bother you in actuality. But if you are really worried, here's my take. Nasal masks and pillows shouldn't bother because you don't have air going into your mouth. Now a ffm migh...

Re: 12 yrs on CPAP, and just started losing air through my mouth
I don't know if you really wanna go with something that different, since you been using the same mask fit twelve years. I, too, have a short goatee and I mouth breathe terribly, so I use a Quattro Air. Now my QA is set a little tighter than it is meant to be, but that is because of the hair and mout...

Re: help on new mask - still far from ok
I have a Quattro Air and naked leaks for three weeks, but while I still wake up too minor leaks I am in a better sleep. I like my Quattro Air, because I tend to mouth breathe and I have tried everything to stop that, but can't seem to stop (chin strap ordered and will be here this week) My best slee...

i would recommend you show them this video: http://www.resmed.com/us/multimedia/understanding-sdb-english-640x380.swf This explains what exactly is going on. It helped me and my family and friends understand exactly what is going on. Hopefully after they are educated and understand they can be more...

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
I answered once a month, but that might be a lie because I have not reached the one month yet. I have cleaned the mask, once but is saw may stuff in it. I wouldn't know how to clean the tube. I have a new Cushing being mailed next week, Ago anyone have any ideas how to get the resmed Quattro Air apa...

Re: Brand new newbie, rough first night....
Two things: 1) I read somewhere, maybe here or some other place. It takes on average 6 months to get used to and start getting the help from cpap. Now I hope you understand that this is an average, which means some people take longer others shorter, so keep it up and in the end life will be wonderfu...

information for pre-cpap newbies
Well for those about to start their journey and those who just started their journey. I found a site that discusses what mask to use depending on your individual sleep after and need. What mask to chose if you are a mouth sleeper, an active sleeper, and/or have facial hair as well as other styles an...
