Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

CVS is the name of a drug store in the US. Thanks for that info. Perhaps it will help the OP but I didn't notice where she lived. Strange, I have lived in Florida and Texas yet i don't recall ever hearing of a CVS. Anyhow, I did a long search. It took some time but i found the original post that sp...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

Someone mentioned CVS' "house" brand as more effective than the "new, improved" Biotene. They did mention that the taste was somewhat unpleasant, but YMMV. I think that might have been the post I am referring to but as one presently living in Canada, I don't remember which American store CVS refers...

Re: ADP changes to CPAP in Ontario

Under these new changes to Toronto, can anyone tell me how often someone on this disability, ODSP can have a sleep study and how often? Is it every 5 years? At a follow-up with my sleep doctor she noted that I had lost weight and thus gave me an open invitation to have another sleep study. After th...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

If you do a search on this forum, someone a few weeks ago gave me the name of another one that is now better than BioTene if I remember correctly.
I will try and do a search myself and see if i can come up with it.
I have been meaning to look it up again anyhow....

Re: Please just stop posting!

I have been away from the forum for awhile but last evening I decided to see what was happening............. WOW.... I could not believe what I was reading, Shelagh, you need to step back from the computer and take a deep breath, you were asked very nicely by several members to let the thread die, ...

Re: Please just stop posting!

BTW, its so pleasant to notice that lousy rocket science was put forth in trying to get rid of one thread, only to start yet another.............

But lets not let facts get in the way of that either

Re: Please just stop posting!

P.S. I noticed that YOU, ShelaghDB, went back and posted AGAIN in that thread after you'd posted in this one. You're part of the problem. My, aren't you a rocket scientist LOL And I even explained why I deliberately did so...... Ummm, BTW, I could point out at LEAST TWO others that did so as well i...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

I have been on cpap for 9 years now. I had that exact same problem when I started. I solved it by taping my mouth shut with Nexium gentle tape, 2" wide. I found that as time went by I didn't like having the tape on my lips, so I decided to try Chin-Ups. The tape goes just under your lower lip then ...

Re: ADP changes to CPAP in Ontario

I have a very close girlfriend that was a reporter here in Toronto for a well known media outlet but has since had a succession of 3 brain tumours and although she survived each one, has now developed a disease as well. The name slips my mind at the moment but because of it she developed a Moon shap...

Re: How long does it take...

Or...also in my case. I was never a morning person anyway. No amount of good cpap therapy is going to make me into something I never was in the first place. It just doesn't work that way. No matter how much I wish it did. Even prior to my developing OSA (came with menopause) I wasn't a morning pers...

Re: Hot diggity, self-service therapy is working

Since following my results, adjusting the pressures and settings on my APAP, I'm very content with my numbers. My HIGHEST AHI in the past month was 4.68. Most nights have been at or under 2. 97% compliant in past 30 days Same here. Self Service is working perfectly but that came with help from Roby...

Re: Need a Recording Oximeter for Sleepyhead

BTW, that's also why I set my machine to auto-start That's one of the reasons I also use the auto start feature The must have checked this one out because it auto-starts better than any before. Sometimes even before I get the mask clipped in. Mine is on auto-start as well but there was talk in a th...

Re: Please just stop posting!

LOL Will be happy to see its demise. But I can't help but think some of you have a bit to much faith in your fellow human beings. Theres an old saying I think sums up people quite well...... If there is someone in your life you believe to be normal ........its apparent you just don't know them well ...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

It may be that I've simply gotten so used to the dry mouth that I'm not noticing it as much As I am experiencing the same, Id guess that that is what it is for you, that you are just getting used to it. I find myself doing that as well but I know that I can't have a dry mouth as it was the reason I...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

The "compliance" people first kept making suggestions for changes to the humidifier, heat down, heat up, change the ambient air setting etc. and after weeks of those tweaks and no difference, LMAO Sorry, I am not laughing at you. Your post is just F***king Brilliant!! You just summed up one of the ...
