Re: how long on cpap does it take to feel better

It's a very individual thing, as Sheriff said. Now that you have your equipment in hand, perhaps you could be troubled to actually register as a member and display your equipment, so we can avoid any more of this foolishness: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t100145/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=99295&p=922...

Re: Does ankle/leg swelling o away quickly?

That has nothing to do with Cpap, though it may be related to OSA in that you have some cardiac involvement and should see your doctor. Cpap may help to get rid of it, but it's not something you want to just wait around and see about... please let your MD know. Love the edit. Thats not what your or...

Re: Newbie going the DIY route...

Shelagh... let it go! Stop being so defensive and explaining yourself (motives, etc.) to everyone. Just respond or not to the info in posts and leave it at that. It comes across as way TMI and this is not a cocktail party. Stop trying so hard and you'll be fine! ROFLOL Oh god if you only knew how w...

Re: Newbie going the DIY route...

 jwerley Care to explain the rolling eyes after my comment? Im pretty certain it wasn't directed at Avi, or the OP I feel if you felt the need to send me a rolling eye comment, so badly that you even had to do it as a guest, you must have something negative you'd like to say to me. Otherwise,...

Re: OT - My new hobby ...

Very lovely work. I imagine your creativity brings you great peace of mind. I just stumbled upon this page although i see its a bit old now. I am afraid i don't have time to read all 20 pages so I apologize if its already been spoken of but have you ever thought of selling your work online? If not t...

Re: Newbie going the DIY route...

Avi Thats interesting. Thanks for the answer. Please do not think that i was in any way suggesting that you put it at 1 for i wouldn't advise it even if I thought i were right. I am a newbie and havent any idea but was truly curious HOW you came up with the number of 3 which you have now explained ...

Re: Newbie going the DIY route...

AVI ( I can't get any info on EPR when i do a search on this forum) sooo Looking at your EPR level why is it at 3? Or, for that matter, curious, since you obviously know what you are doing, what difference do you suppose it would have made to your overall numbers if your EPR had been at 1? Just cur...

Re: Ontario users: +$200 for "upgraded machine" under ADP??

You already have an APAP machine which is a single pressure machine. The S9 AutoSet is what we call an APAP machine because it has the ability to have auto adjusting pressure mode as well as fixed pressure (which is cpap mode) but in both instances it's considered a fixed single pressure even if EP...

Re: Ontario users: +$200 for "upgraded machine" under ADP??

Just a follow-up to my original post: Good luck. Good someone is looking into it. In my case i just couldn't be bothered to waste the time and I was fortunate in that I now understand that not everyone on CPAP is working, or retired, whatever the case might be and just can't throw $650 down like i ...

Re: Ontario users: +$200 for "upgraded machine" under ADP??

Have you gone through the Ontario process at all? Your posts come across as someone not familiar with apnea diagnosis, equipment choices, vendor selection, ADP and vendor billing but does contain a lot of information related to selling electronics and hawking equipment for a practicing doctor activ...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

I'm not exactly sure what Biotene is, I hadn't paid any attention to what it was either until first mentioned to me 10 months ago and bought some. The one I bought cost about $18 + 13% HST i believe for something not all that large... Anyhow, its mouth wash that you are supposed to use about 5x dai...

Re: New User Extreme Dry Mouth

I suffer dry mouth from taking so many meds that cause it. My rhumatologist solved the problem with a drug called Evoxac. It completely solved the problem, this drug promotes the production of saliva. You might want to ask your dr about it. I am not crazy about taking any sort of medication BUT if ...
