Re: Pressure confusion

Thanks,It is set at CPAP, CPAP Pressure 5, then CFlex+ ,set at 2. The rest is humidifier etc. I am not sure what to look for I thought there would be an upper and lower range with a median setting of 5. At the DME I was told it would adjust if I needed a different pressure not just the exhale. I nev...

Pressure confusion

I am confused about pressure. In Sleepyhead my pressure graph shows a nearly flat line on 5 which is my Rx. When I look on the statistics page(Tab at top left) at 95% it is straight across 5 including Most Recent. The Average pressure graph shows Most recent 13.90, seven days 7.o4, 30 days 6.09. I h...

Re: How do you Choose a New Mask? Still a sort of newbie...

I November I was only a week into cpap when I knew the wisp would not work for me. I had not yet discovered Cpaptalk which would have helped. I searched YouTube and found many video reviews of masks. Most are very good I especially like the ones by Lankylefty27. I decided on a Sleepweaver Advanced(w...

Re: humidifier chamber issues

I understand "pink slime" grows in dark moist places. I am a newbie to CPap but have seen pink slime under flower pots. Dark and moist. I am a Newbie but would wash it well and soak in a 10% bleach solution for an hour or so right after ordering a new one. I remove may chamber every morning rinse or...

Re: Understanding leaks

Thanks again, that helped. The graphs are a little intimidating with too little knowledge. I now have a better understanding of what the lines mean. I will read more about everything and just go by the daily and statistics and daily page. As long as no major changes occur I won't worry. I just saw m...

Re: Understanding leaks

Pugsy, I did read all of your excellent posts on SleepyHead. Your example seemed to show a flat upper line and the graph high and lows. Mine has two squiggly lines equidistant apart nearly the exact pattern repeated. I tried to do a cut and paste using Snipping tool but it didn't work. Is there a wa...

Understanding leaks

When I look at info on the screen on top of my machine I see 100% non leaking. When I look at SleepyHead I see two lines of matching squiggles all under the max of 25 on the chart. I think the 100% must be for lack of large leaks only. I have searched around but don't understand the set of two lines...

Re: Who is reviving old threads and why???

I am a newbie and have filled in a few polls because I saw them near the top and never looked at the date or assumed someone had questions and wanted to renew the subject. I don't see the concern if the polls are still open. Is it not ok to respond to an old post that comes up in a search for partic...

Re: Do you cuddle your hose? Be honest, now

I cuddle my hose or it cuddles me I guess. It seems easier to keep positioned if I hang on to at least part of it. It is warm(heated) and soft and fuzzy(polar fleece). I just started CPap on November 24. I thought it would be impossible. The first hose and mask(wisp) were cold and crinkly or pinched...

Re: Medicare and Sleepyhead

I did it and it worked perfectly. How often shall I download? I assume it just adds info for the new day(s). Now I will read again what it all means this time with my personal information in front of me. I did remember to unlock it. I really appreciate the help I have learned more "new tricks" this ...

Re: Medicare and Sleepyhead

Hello again, Well I looked on line and all I can find is how to unlock "stuck on write protect" cards which worries me a bit. I have my first after CPap doctors apt Friday and have no idea how he gets information. I think from the DME who receives the info through/from the modem card. Do both cards ...

Re: Medicare and Sleepyhead

Thanks to all. I have not taken the card out yet to check. When I click info on the machine it now reads 99% space available. Earlier I saw an unremembered comment that led me to believe it had no information on it. I would guess that after 5 weeks 99% could be about right. I will write protect it a...

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Clean Your Tank?

I rinse with tap water and air dry every day and wash with soap and water weekly. Water here is soft so no build up but I do use distilled in my humidifier. So far that seems fine. I also hang my heated hose daily to drain and air dry it is also washed once a week. Mask every few days. I use reminde...
