Re: Chin strap or pressure adjust

Thanks everyone. I am going to try this for s few nights and see. I felt better this morning than usual but only time will tell. My next step will be to try the Listerine strips. I do believe that I don't actually open my mouth but rather air just blows out between my lips. Sounds like an interestin...

Re: Chin strap or pressure adjust

So I decided to lower my bottom pressure and see what happened. I usually go through most of a 24oz glass of water at night due to dry mouth. I barely drank anything last night and feel like I slept better. I am going to leave it starting at 8 and see what happens over the next few nights, but I hop...

Chin strap or pressure adjust

I have been on my Cpap for about 6 months now. When I first got it after my sleep study the pressure was set at 6-12. After my first follow up visit with my doctor (about a month), he said I was at 10 most of the night so he raised my setting to 10-15. Before he raised my settingsI felt like my Cpap...

Re: Completely Frustrated

I am a complete newbie here so this may be a stupid question, but is there a reason you have to use a full face mask? The reason I ask is because I started with a nasal mask and did so because I thought the nasal pillows felt odd in the two minutes I was able to try them at the sleep study. Then I g...

Re: Poll: Who believes their depression lifted after going on cp

I have only been on the cpap for a little over a week now but my wife says she can tell a difference already. I will say that I have begun to laugh a bit more and see the good side of things a bit. Far too early to know what will become, but I am very hopeful. I never really considered myself as dep...

Swift FX nasal pillow vs F&P Eson

When I went for my titration study the therapist had me try on three mask. The first was a pillow type mask and I have no idea what brand it was. I had it on for maybe a minute while she had me lie on my back. It felt hard to exhale with that mask so I told her that. She then tried the F&P Eson nose...

Re: Auto vs Manual Humidity

Thanks to the manual that Bobby269 sent I was able to set it to auto. I am a little surprised that you have to go to the clinical setup to do that (vs patient setup) but It is what it is. I think I am going to like this much more. I noticed the mask being just ever si slightly damp last night but ne...

Re: Auto vs Manual Humidity

I use the S9 series, and can tell you that the only time I experience rainout is when I decide to set the humidity level myself. I suffer from a dry throat and mouth, and thought more humidity was the answer. Not only did I get wet, the machine made a nasty noise and I used up all the water midway ...

Re: Auto vs Manual Humidity

Make sure your machine is at a lower level than your head, so that there is a downslope on the hose. I have a hook above my pillow so that the downward part of the hose is longer. Wrap the hose in some kind of cover - I have a heated cover that I bought several years ago from Australia, but the spo...

Auto vs Manual Humidity

I just started using a cpap and have the ResMed S9. The DME set it up so I can set the temp and humidity independently. I currently have the temp on 80 and started with the Humidity on 6, but am down to 5 after the 6 days I have been using it. The issue is that I still get just a couple of droplets ...

Re: Resmed S9 Software - Where can I get it?

I just started using the S9 last night (first cpap) and slept for 10 hours! This is unheard of for me so I am very excited.

I too would very much like to have the software to look at my results. If someone could PM me with a link or instructions I would be grateful.
