New Large Leaks - AHI Higher
20191101.jpg I have been using the same machine for 6 years and the same Eson 2 nasal mask (change cushions every 2 weeks) for a few years. Recently my AHI & Large Leaks have gone up a lot. I just noticed this problem this week, although it seems to have started 2 months ago. I am assuming this mea...

Re: CPAP Noise
Thanks for all of the ideas. I learned a lot. Now for an update. The DME tech came today and brought a replacement CPAP, so that she could send my CPAP off for repairs. While mine was clearly noisy. Her machine was not significantly less noisy. We tried adjusting the Aflex to 1 (from 2). My machine ...

CPAP Noise
I have had a Philips Respironics System One 560P RemStar Auto with A-Flex, for 2 years and it seems very noisy. Both my wife and I sleep with ear plugs because of it. I mentioned the noise to the RT at the sleep Dr and was told the new CPAP should be noisier than the old one, which was a REMstar plu...

Re: Best Masks for Relatively High Pressure
Bill, thanks! Are you talking about the Zzz-Mask Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear or the SG model? It seems the SG model is a revision that is not as popular.

Re: Best Masks for Relatively High Pressure
Thanks! There must be something I am missing. I have tried several different masks since getting this CPAP in Dec. I clearly prefer the nasal masks and they don't seem to leak until the pressure goes up. I have tried Lansinoh (no help). I have tried the Nasal Mask covers from Padacheek (just caused ...

Best Masks for Relatively High Pressure
I am still struggling a bit with mask problems. I have read on here that some people have had success with nasal masks at higher pressure. That has not been the case for me. What am I missing? My pressure is set to auto with a range from 13 to 18, usually hitting 16 or higher every night. When I men...

Re: Gotta love insurance companies
This thread brought up a question that I have been having about keeping my DME. For what I pay the DME, I think I could buy my CPAP new in about a year. Am I missing something? Is there any reason to stay with the DME rather than just buying a CPAP? I had my second appt today with the sleep Dr, and ...

Re: System One 60 Loud on Inhale
Mine has a similar problem. It has made that noise, when I inhale, since I got it, two month's ago. I recently had my followup with the sleep Dr. I complained to the RT about the noise, and she said it is due to the Auto feature (not buying that explanation). I even let her hear it, but she didn't p...

Re: Fitbit flex?
I have a fitbit force and the Zeo Sleep Manager. There is usually a big difference in the Sleep numbers, with Zeo saying I am awake at least one hour a night more than the Force. Fitbit just knows if you are restless, but not awake. I think that function is fairly worthless. FWIW, I am really disapp...

Re: Which is More Important - AHI or Sleep?
I met with an RT and the Sleep Doc today. It really did not go as I had expected. The respiratory tech plugged in my CPAP to check the settings and data. I mentioned that this new CPAP was much nosier than my 10 year old one (Respironics brick). She insisted that these new ones are noisier because o...

Which is More Important - AHI or Sleep?
I have my followup with the Sleep Dr tomorrow. I have been on this CPAP for 2 months and have been struggling to get my AHI down (avg > 4.5) and to sleep comfortably. From what I have learned here, my pressure was set too low initially (7/15). It is now (11/18). My AHI is fallen with every increase ...

Re: Newbie with AHI Question - Sleepyhead Data
We keep raising the pressure with positive results (I made the last adjustment after little positive change in AHI for 10 days). Last night things seemed to be going pretty well until just after 6AM. I am still a newbie here, with a limited understanding of what all these graphs indicate. What I see...
