Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
I really think there's some underlying issue that no one has found yet. 10 years ago, I could work 18 hour days on 3 or 4 hours of sleep. As long as I got at least 2 or 3 hours, I was good to go all day. Worked on many projects where that's all I got for months at a time, and was fine with it. Then ...

which is a plus). Still tired all day, and wondering if this is as good as it will get, or if I still need to adjust settings. It may just be that you need to give things more time. If your recent reports look like the prior one that you posted...I don't see anything in the reports that screams out...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
Not sure what model machine you have, but I would recommend loading the data into sleep head software (or somethign simmilar), and checking to see your leak rate. I've been on C-pap about a year now, and had really bad problems with dry mouth. Checked the data, and saw I was having a really, really ...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
Bumping this back up. Been using the new mask for about a month now, and I'm pretty well used to it, but even with the new mask (and much lower leaks), I'm still not feeling any better (except no more extremely dry mouth in the morning, which is a plus). Still tired all day, and wondering if this is...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
If you play with the parameters of your leak graph (setting max at 80 or 90 for example), you'll be able to see the actual values better. Hmm, that doesn't seem to work right for me. If I do that, it sets it to 80 if the max value is below 80 (makes good nights hard to read), but doesn't lower the ...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
Had my supplies person out Thursday, and she checked for mask fit, and the size I have is the correct size for me. I'm thinking now that the Mirage Quattro I've been wearing was too big the whole time. Still getting used to the Quattro FX, but the leaks are much improved. Now that the leaks are unde...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
sorry, got the names mixed up. last night i used the quattro fx full face mask. Tonight I'll adjust the straps, and see if I can get it more comfortable. If not, I'll see about getting a large, as this one is a medium. Definitely encouraging though. Is there a way to see the leak rate in real time o...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
My wife reminded me yesterday that I had another mask. When I had my sleep study, the person gave me my mirage quattro, but also gave me a mirage fx to try. The quattro was a large, but they only had a medium in the fx, so I never used it as it felt too small. Tried it on last night, and results are...

Re: Cpap mask skin irritation
Also, if you aren't, wash your face before you go to bed. I was good about always washing my mask, but not my face (always washed it in the morning). I would get very irritated, red rashes where the mask was. Since starting to always wash my face before bed, no more problems.

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
You'd think the sleep clinic person would have told me that. But then she also put me on 7cm as the amount I needed, which did nothing for me (but maybe the leaks were a problem). I will give the nasal pillows a shot. I do noticed that I can breathe through my nose better when the pressure is higher...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
Messed around some last night, and got a bit better results. First, I tried my normal/old mask. Just going by the smiley face on the machine, I could not get it to be happy, even when I had it on like I normally do. Swapped out for a new cushion, and it was a lot worse. Couldn't get it to seal for a...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
Here's the AHI. I'll check my tube tonight. It has been a while since I replaced my cushion. I have always gone by leaks that I can feel around the outside of the mask (where it seals against my face), and don't really feel any. If there are, they are minor. Since it felt like it had been sealing we...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
Ok, don't know how to do the report, but hopefully this is what you are asking for. Here is the data for last night (fairly typical night), and the overview graph. Edit: Should also note it looks like the time is off by a couple of hours, so disregard that. I think I went to bed around 10pm last nig...

I should be able to handle that. Thanks!Pugsy wrote:When you get home and get the software up and import your data...just post a typical night detailed report and also could you go to the overview section and get a snapshot of the Usage graph?

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
I think I have sleep head software installed at home, but haven't used it in several months. I'll try to do that tonight. I generally go to sleep around 10, and some nights I'll sleep all the way through till 6 with the mask on, but some nights I'll wake up around 4 and take the mask off and go back...
