Re: Monitoring leg movement while on asleep with CPAP
Thanks kteague/Julie, so, if I record myself sleeping, I should be able to see any leg movement. I thought these movement are very subtle, but after watching the video clip that kteague has put online, the movement seem pretty dramatic. I guess, I am gonna go with night-vision camera and see what ha...

Monitoring leg movement while on asleep with CPAP
I am currently using cpap and my AHI and leak are within reasonable range. I have done a sleep study last week, and my doctor told me that I have high rate of leg movement and I will need to do full sleep study (with EEG), to see if I need medication for the restless legs... However, the hospital wh...

Advice on best ResMed Nasal Pillow Mask
Hello all, I am currently using the ResMed AirFit ™ P10 Nasal Pillow, I found it to be OK, provided that I use the L size. But I notice that the air leak is abit higher than what I used to have when I was using the Full Face mask, it ranges between 10-15. I am thinking about trying another nasal pil...

Re: About to go for Sleep Apnea Surgery
The surgery I am planning to do is not as invasive as what Nozzelnut did. The surgeon won't remove my uvula (just trimming), and he will apply radio frequency to my soft-palate (no cutting). I am planning to have the surgery done in the UK with surgeon who is also sleep specialist. When I saw him th...

About to go for Sleep Apnea Surgery
Hello everyone, I had went for Septoplasty back in August to fix my deviated nasal septum. The recovery wasn't as awful as I saw other people report on the Internet. Although, I can breathe better from my nose now, I still can't tolerate the nasal pillow yet. I am using FFM, but trying keeping my mo...

Re: Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction Recovery Time
Hello All, I thought to provide an update on this post in case anyone is considering the septoplasty procedure. I had it done about three weeks ago in the UK by one of the ENT surgeons who has a lot of experience in sleep medicine, he basically did three things: 1. Septoplasty 2. Turbinate reduction...

Re: Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction Recovery Time
I don't live in the states. I used to live in Canada, but I moved to the middle east couple of years ago and I did n't have good feeling about the doctors I met (not that there aren't competent doctors).

Re: Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction Recovery Time
Thanks for the useful feedback, the doctor would be ultimate authority. But looking for other people experience would be helpful too!

Septoplasty + Turbinate Reduction Recovery Time
Hi all, For those who have went through the septoplasty + turbinate reduction surgery, what was their recovery time/experience. I will be flying to the UK for business and I am planning to have the surgery there. The doctor secretary told me that I should remain in the UK for 2 weeks (minimum) befor...

Re: UPPP Experience
Thank you all for the feedback. I have couple of comments to add and one follow up question to ask: 1. I agree with archangle in that being overweight is not major contributor to sleep apnea ( I guess I have to disagree with pstar on this one!). Just before I was diagnosed with OSA, I've lost around...

UPPP Experience
Hello everyone, I will be going for septoplastry surgery in August in the UK, and I will be consulting yet new specialist about whether or not to go for UPPP. I have considered doing UPPP when I was first diagnosed with moderate-to-sever OSA. But I have put this idea to rest I when read couple of bo...

Re: APAP and Humidfier
Why did you stop using the humidifier? It would most likely eliminate the dry mouth and make you more comfortable while asleep. This might sound weird, I had to stop using it because I am fasting during the day !!! This is religious thing (I am a muslim), where I have to abstain fro eating or drink...

APAP and Humidfier
Hello all, I have been using Resmed S9 for six months now and have felt progressive improvements in my OSA symptoms (although not so dramatic). For the last 10 days, I stopped using the humidifier and since then I started feeling irritable, fatigued during the day, and feel sluggish most of the time...

Recommendation for Nasal Pillow
Hello everyone, I am planning to go for Septoplasty and Reduction of Turbinates surgery to clear my nasal path and allow me to use nasal pillow (instead of full face mask I am currently using). I was hoping to get some advice on which of ResMed Nasal Pillow masks got best reviews, especially for sid...
