Re: Six months and still struggling
I have taped, collared, chin-strapped, and used anti-back sleeping gadgets. ALL failed. I was recently told by a chin strap dealer that chin straps are for relaxed chins, not a device to prevent mouth breathing. I must mouth breathe at times; therefore, I must use a full face mask. What some call mo...

Re: Help titrating BIPAP for sensitive sleeper
I remember now. My message folder was cleared recently, so I don't have the message you requested from me. I cannot recall it either due to forgetfulness. Banning from Apneaboard can be temporary as a warning, but maybe you were permanently banned. Please read the rules section if you can re-enter. ...

Re: Help titrating BIPAP for sensitive sleeper
Does anyone know why some have such a breath wave shape? Yes. Using APAP not BiLevel so what do you think causes the steep to a point waves? Did you do that favor about Albercook that I asked you to do for me? I do not have an Albercook favor asked of me. I am curious as to why breath waves show as...

Re: Trouble waking up wide awake, taking off mask/OSCAR data attached
The first thing to fix is the leaks. Your very high Leak Rate and Large Leaks prevent effective therapy and data reporting. Run the mask fit test. Let it build to max pressure. Twitch your nose and mouth, move your head a bit. Lie in the positions you will be sleeping. Get the mask and headgear in o...

Re: Newbie seeking help to reduce AHI as low as possible - Oscar data
By raising your Min pressure, the Med and 95% pressures came down. The machine quit tapping out at 20 cm, and AHI lowered as well as Flow Limitations. This is evidence of what improvements can be made with a pressure adjustment. Congratulations. Some may suggest a bit higher Min pressure to decrease...

Re: Six months and still struggling
I can zero in on a problem. You Wrote: "I think my tongue dropping off the roof of my mouth is my main issue." My tongue dropping off the roof of my mouth is THE issue. When sleeping on my back, my mouth opens, tongue falls back and AHI 35+ occurs. Once in a while, I remain on my side to sleep. The ...

Re: Dry mouth w Airsense 11..did not happen with 10
Love to breathe wrote: "Also, I was using a swift mask till recently. I like this new airfit so much better, it feels very secure." I have used both AS 10 and 11. As far as I can tell they both function similarly without any indication that an AS 11 would cause mouth breathing that causes dry mouth....

One is that many of your inhalation curves have a more pointed shape than we usually see. Nocibur Wrote: Anyway that's probably BiPAP Engineering. Re: How often should things be replaced?
Go by what rate your gear wears out. I would replace mask cushions every 2 weeks if I could afford it, while others get several months out of a mask cushion. Filters are advised to be changed at least changing a month, but for the rest, mileage will vary according to the user.

Re: Phantosmia/Bipab/not sleeping?
I once had an AirSense 11 that I had to return due to a burning electrical smell it produced in air output. The smell could linger after shutting down the machine. I returned it for an AirSense 10.

https://www.padacheek.com/airfit-f40 Have you seen the Padacheek liner? It is made especially for the F40 and isn't trying to be a one size fits all like the SnugZ. Yes, I have seen the slick-looking Pad A Cheek that looks superior to what I have been using. I have a message to them to ask the ques...

Re: Does anyone want to buy a brand new Cpap? Comes with everything
I have one too. Got it from the Phillips replacement deal. I had gone through an AutoSet 10 and on a second when it arrived. My DME says they are not recalled but cannot be bought through them due to a ban on the sale of Phillips PAP machines. Why that applies to the new and improved ones sent out a...
