Re: respironics dreamwear headgear with "arms"
Thanks - I did something similar last night. I wrapped stretchy tape around the back of the headgear, several times around. That helped a bit, but the fact remains that if you don’t have much of a head in the back, the new gear with “arms” isn’t gonna help much. My sister has sewn some cushy filler ...

Re: respironics dreamwear headgear with "arms"
Yes, I am using the small headgear. I feel almost like I need a kids size. I’m not sure if I should wrap the headgear in tape or my head!

Re: respironics dreamwear headgear with "arms"
Haha - well, THOSE women look good bald! I would have thought the opposite on how the mask slips or not. I bet the tape does similar to my Velcro, but I might try that idea. Thanks!

respironics dreamwear headgear with "arms"
I love my Dreamwear mask, but have always had trouble keeping the back strap in place. So I thought the "arms" version would be great for me. But it's the same exact issue and I just don't understand how it is helping others. I don't have "the big head", matter of fact, the back of my head is practi...

Re: AirSense10 noise question
Thanks folks. That’s why I asked the question here. I wondered about that requirement. I will do some investigating.. it’s possible that the test I had in 2013 doesn’t meet Medicare requirements. The dr at the time said it was “moderate” and I believe the number of events per hour was 17. But I imme...

Re: AirSense10 noise question
The rep said they may have to replace it. I’m gonna try to see if I can tell where the noise is coming from. But I got another call saying Medicare would not pay for the machine unless I do another at home sleep test. Grrrr. The first one was 2013. It’s such a pain in the fanny and an uncomfortable...

AirSense10 noise question
I’ve used a ResMed s9 for 6+ years; just got new AirSense10. I use the Respironics Dreamwear nasal mask and didn’t change that. When I turn even slightly to my side, ie, ear on pillow, I hear a motor like sound. Sort of like there is a motor humming in my mattress! Ear plugs no help. I have the hose...

Re: Res med S9 issues
I have the exact same issue. I couldn't even figure out how to state what it was doing. And it's only occasionally. I've changed nothing about my set up or system. I'd really like to know what causes this too.

Re: Need Dreamwear advice
Thanks to everyone. I agree the design is genius! I did know to adjust the top/hose to loosen/tighten. My hair is short short short, so the strap slides up but I have sort of anchored it by catching it in what hair I have. I have had some luck last few nights with small frame, medium cushion, and ti...

Re: Need Dreamwear advice
Holden4th, I am not sure I totally understand your instructions, i.e., which way you are moving the top strap. But last night I did sort of the opposite and went back to the Med size pillow with the small frame and tightened it fairly tight with the Velcro straps. I understood that any nasal pillow ...

Re: Need Dreamwear advice
I had to request the small frame and small mask as I was given medium in both at the DME and saw immediately that they were too large. My head is small so I also padded the strap covers to take it up a little bit. When I roll over I generally feel that I need to actually hold the mask in place, but ...

Re: has anyone done at home sleep study's?
Home sleep study is all I ever had. Was diagnosed and got all set up, but educate yourself here - you won't get much from the dr or DME!!

Need Dreamwear advice
I love the Dreamwear mask, but every time I turn on my side, it slips and starts leaking and making loud noise. Does anyone have advice on how to adjust this mask for side sleepers? I switched from the Nano because local DME stopped carrying it. Dreamwear design is ingenious....if it always worked!

Re: H5i water chamber question
Actually it never occurred to me that there would be more than one model of a humidifier tub that would fit or work! I had made the assumption that what I got was the.. haha .."new and improved" version and that was it. I'll ask if I can get the older model. Thanks.
