Where can I have a Type 2 Home Sleep Study in Bay Area?

Does anybody know where I can have a type 2 home sleep study in the Bay Area? Something close to San Jose would be great. I'm aware of AXG, but he's a 2 hour drive from me and I would like someone qualified to attach all the electrodes. Note that a type 2 home sleep study involves placing electrodes...

Re: For Sale: Brand New Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her $650

Are you going to need the machine after your surgery? Or does that surgery cure your obstruction? Good question, but there's no good answer, unfortunately. The surgery will cure the epiglottic obstruction, but not necessarily the apnea. Because apnea damages the entire airway, even if you identify ...

Re: For Sale: Brand New Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her $650

I'm unpersuaded. There's no provision in most insurance plans for an apnea sufferer to be provided 2 machines "in case one breaks". Anyway, the issue is not "they let me have one, so it's mine, so I can sell it." My insurance company doesn't "let me" buy CPAP machines. With a prescription, and with...

Re: For Sale: Brand New Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her $650

This would fall into the billing for unnecessary services realm of healthcare fraud. If you didn't use the CPAP at all, obviously you didn't need it, thus it was an unneccessary service that your insurance was billed for. Insurance companies have time spans when new equipment is covered, but almost...

Any Study/Location/Device that Images Airway while Sleeping?

Is there any way to have my airway imaged at night during natural sleep? I already had DISE, but want 100% certainty about what's still collapsing.

Re: Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS)

I am a UARS guy. I just found out why I don't respond to CPAP therapy even though I can tolerate high pressure without any issues. The reason is I have a floppy epiglottis and the epiglottis will fold back to the airway wall to obstruct the airway. Here are video and article for the condition. CPAP...

Re: UARS, low numbers bad sleep, MMA, now on CPAP

Thanks. Does it work? I'm hoping companies will make knock-offs and market them in stores so I can try them for cheap. I think the concept is doable for stores. I'm picking it up in a couple hours, but it may take a while to get the full benefit because apparently the tail adjustment process can be...

Re: UARS, low numbers bad sleep, MMA, now on CPAP

It's a mouthguard that looks like it might work to keep the tongue out of the way. Why can't we buy it online? Or do we have to pay thru the nose at the dentist to get one?! It has to be custom fitted by a dentist, can require multiple adjustments to the tail and costs anywhere from 2-5k depending ...

Re: UARS, low numbers bad sleep, MMA, now on CPAP

Anyway, it got so bad for me I had to find another solution for my RERAs which was the AveoTSD plus Breath Right strips and Afrin nightly. I'm getting my turbinates reduced soon to go off the Afrin. I know you have had MAD but if your tongue still keeps dropping back causing the RERAs did you ever ...

I'm referring to Min PS from the clinician menu. The maximum value you can enter is 6.

I think you're referring to Max PS.
