The paper said that if you have medical equipment you should already have power back up.

my power will be off for a whole night

Hi
I just found out that the power company will be turning off our power for a whole night (8pm to 5pm). I do not have battery back up, nor do I have the money to buy one. I do not know what to do. I can go a whole night with out cpap.

mask cleaning

Hi
Do any of you use mask wipes?
I was using vinegar and water, but then I bought some wipes for my mask.
I use the wipes daily, and use vinegar and water for weekly deep cleanings.

If you wipes, what brands do you use and where do you buy them?

Re: trying a full face mask

How long have you been using your CPAP? It took me weeks of frustration to adjust to nose breathing when I first got my CPAP. Have you tried using your CPAP while watching TV in the evening to get used to it and get used to nose breathing? I have been on and off CPAP for 2 years now. I have been us...

Re: trying a full face mask

So reluctantly, I have decided to try a full face mask. Nasal masks have not been successful for me (leaking) because of my small nose and face. Also I open my mouth during the night even with a chinstrap. I tried nasal pillows and they did not work for me at all. Anyone have advice about using a F...

Yes, he is my dog. Thanks, I think he's cute and he is a real character. His name is Tigger, and he is my buddy. He was afraid of my cpap at first, but I think he has gotten used to it.

Re: New Machine

OK, We got off on the wrong foot. I didn't ever say your machine was crap, I have one and its a very good machine, I am sure you will like it, and I am sure you will get good therapy results with it.......it is a nice up-grade to what you have had in the past. As far as your equipment profile, plea...

Re: New Machine

Tangledhose - saying that my new machine doesn't have all the data is not helping me! It may not be the best machine, but it is WAY better than my old machine. I am on Medi-cal Caloptima. I pay NO copay. Do really think that I am going to get the best machine out there? Really, we are talking govern...

Re: New Machine

If you picked the right machine in your equipment profile.....if it is indeed the Airsense CPAP model then you have yet another "Brick" If on the other hand you actually have the Elite, or AutoSet, or Autoset For Her model then you have a data capable model. You don't have to pick a humidifier in y...

Last I worked with this DME it was FP. I don't think I have a choice on what brand.

cpap machines with data

Hi
I am getting new equipment from a different DME. The machine I have now is a "brick."
I am going to push for a machine with Data. How will I know if it is a good machine.
I think it will be Fisher & Paykel.

mask no longer fitting

Hi all, I have a very small nose and bridge. I am using a Zest petite nasal mask that I have from a previous DME. The last 2 masks from my current DME are small nasal masks from Respironics. They are both way to big and bulky. The petite mask from Respironics is too small. So I have been using my ol...
