Re: Teeth Hurting
See! I learnt from my experience that never take any kind of risk in case of teeth. My wife treated herself from a dentist Torrance who somehow manages to treat her well. Really thankful for him. But that time was very bad when she was having intolerable toothache. You should consult best dentist n...

Resmed S9 AHI
I am curious to know how the S9 calculates the AHI. One would think that you would need a effort wave form to accurately differentiate apneas and hypopneas. I gather it is all based on airflow and resistance. Last few nights my AHI has dropped to 1.1, but my pressure is up to 9.4. When I first start...

Re: H5i Humdifier Issue
@Stu---Thanks! Don't know why I missed that. That band on the lower section does slip up and down. Problem solved. @Islandboy--I use distilled and do not get any scale or buildup. I live in a hard water area and even with a softener and filter I see scale on everything around here. The distilled is ...

H5i Humdifier Issue
Howdy All, There seems to be an issue with my H5i humidifier chamber. When I clean the chamber top and bottom by immersing it in either a mild soapy solution or a vinegar/water solution I cannot get the top and bottom to seat properly together. It's appears that the gasket swells as the tabs on the ...

Re: Teeth Hurting
Hey Todzo, Thanks so much for that reply. So much information and I really appreciate your candidness about your current issues you are dealing with. It certainly appears that you have gone to great lengths to work through this. I have looked into the high gain topic. As an aside, I think that termi...

Re: Teeth Hurting
Howdy There has been a strange new phenomenon the past few days. My front teeth hurt. If I push on them with my lower teeth, they feel sore at the roots. I had a similar feeling when I had nasal surgery. Wasn't sure if that was related to being intubated or not. Last night it seemed like my jaw wou...

Re: Teeth Hurting
Try Ultimate Flora, 50 Billion, by far the best probiotic, IMHO. If I run out and don't have a backup (pun intended), I notice it immediately. http://www.amazon.com/Renew-Life-Ultimate-50-Billion/dp/B001LIW11Q/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385751150&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=ultral+50+million+probiotic Al...

Re: OT - The Statin Prescription Controversy Again
Diet and exercise with a baby aspirin a day is good insurance. I can't get my good cholesterol up and my bad is WAY low. But I take a baby aspirin to offer cardiac vascular protection as I can't drink anymore. It ruins my sleep.

Re: Teeth Hurting
This is great info. Got a call into the DME right now to see what the options are. I have no lip discomfort at all, just with the teeth. Last night the lower teeth hurt too, which made me think of the jaw clench thing. I had a horrible night last night, by far the worst yet. Every little thing was w...

Re: Teeth Hurting
You might look at the Swift FX Nano cushion mask. Perhaps the strap placement on it will lessen the chance of any pressure being applied to the teeth. When I was initially setup by the DME, I tried that headset, but with nasal pillows. Didn't care for the pillows. The Whisp nasal mask felt better. ...

Re: Teeth Hurting
You indicate that you are using a nasal mask. Normally the bottom of the nasal mask rests between the bottom of the nose and the upper lip. If the mask is too tight it will push in on your upper teeth. Consider loosening the mask, or changing to a different mask. The mask pressure will not move you...

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I'm fighting a cold, so we may just stay and chill out today at home. Me, the missus, Hank the world's largest Australian Shepherd, Doc my psycho Border Collie and Hobo the sweet little Aussie healer mix. Slept better last night. Took Nyquil night before last and it sent m...

Re: Newbie and surprisingly compliant
when you get a chance, add your equipment, mask and pressures to your profile I suspect that those that have higher pressures are the ones that have the toughest times acclimating to wearing a mask & CPAP. Managing leaks at pressures under 10 are much easier to deal with than when pressures exceed ...

Afrin - not a sustainable solution. I think you would do well to study how high respiratory control system gain plays into sleep apnea Thanks and I have been researching that. Afrin is a temporary solution. Weight loss via diet and exercise is the main plan. I slept much better when I was 30 lbs li...
