Hi,
I am one of the crowd that would like to download the Encore SW for free! I'm using Windows 7 for OS. BTW, is this a link to the Encore Viewer 2.1 or something else? Thanks for your help!

Re: What to do to reduce Central and obstructive apneas

Greg, if those Docs at the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO, will see your post that an ENT is taking care arranging for a sleep study then they might not get involved. But we can't do anything about. I emailed them a link to this thread. Do you have any idea who will interpr...

Greg, I just sent them an email on your behalf. Let's see what they reply. Let's hope! http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q241/avilynn_photo/1460056-1.jpg Thanks for sending those out for me! My ENT kind of made me nervous today when he told me that he might try putting me on some type of medicine ...

What to do to reduce Central and obstructive apneas

Hello! I've been using a Respironics system One auto-pap w/ builtin humidifer for about 4 weeks now, and I'm not seeing any improvement at all. I've been pretty steady at around 25 or so with about 50% CA's and a mix of OA and Hypopneas. After 2 weeks or so, I talked to my DME about the situation, a...

Re: AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

Are you using the ramp feature? Looks like part of that starting point of 5 might be ramp but it doesn't increase like ramp normally shows an increase. The pressure settings look like either 5 or 6 to 15...this is shown in little letters above the AHI event categories on the left side. Where it say...

Re: AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

If you look at the Statistics section your minimum pressure is 10 which means that almost immediately your pressure goes up to that # from 5 to try and keep your airway open, your Median pressure(Avg) is 12.40 which means that half the night you were at that pressure and your 95% pressure is 15 whi...

Re: AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

Did your initial diagnostic sleep study mention any centrals to speak of? If you don't have a copy of that report...get one. Make the appointment for follow up...let's see how far out they are. A sleep specialist if your ENT isn't well versed in sleep apnea therapy and treatment. Are you wanting/wi...

Re: AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

It wouldn't hurt to make the appointment for follow up now because most likely they won't have an opening for 4 week or longer In the meantime you report lots of awakenings during the night and often awake breathing gets flagged by mistake and most often as Clear Airway (centrals). So I wouldn't pa...

Re: AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

Even if a person hasn't heard of SleepyHead an AHI of 27 with the machine being used isn't good to see. What machine brand and model are you using (please add it to your equipment profile as I have added mine so we don't have to ask every time)? What pressure settings are you using? Did you have a ...

AHI is around 27, Clear Air Apnea is high

Hi all! Just getting started in the CPAP world, and I started using SleepyHead software 10 days ago. As I'm slowly starting to understand what the terms and graphs mean, one thing I notice is that my Clear Air apnea (Central apnea?) reading is over half my total AHI value. My AHI is around 27 with t...
