High OSA while on BiPAP
My baseline AHI was around 40. During my initial titration, my AHI was reduced to <5. However after a couple weeks of using CPAP, my AHI levels started to creep upward again. My dr had to increase my pressure 3x before deciding to have me do a BiLevel titration. The Bilevel titration showed that 11/...

Re: To all the veteran PAP users out there...
Let's say you were at the dr office and they were to hand you a folder filled with useful PAP info...what type of info would you have like to see in there?

To all the veteran PAP users out there...
What kind of information would you have appreciated when you first started PAP therapy? For example, cleaning instructions, machine details, mask details, etc...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: CPAP and Dizziness
18cm is a high pressure. Is she on a cpap or a bipap? If she is on a pure cpap she may need to talk to her doctor to get a machine that she can tolerate better.
She's on CPAP. Do you think nasal mask vs. pillow style may make a difference?

CPAP and Dizziness
A friend of mine just started using CPAP two weeks ago. 18cm with pillows. THe last five days she's been experiencing dizzy spells when she gets up out of bed. Any ideas as to why this may be happening? Is this even CPAP related?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Oral Masks
Hi Folks,
I'd like to know your experience with your oral mask if you use one. I'm doing some research and this is a curious topic at the moment. Thanks for your input!

I agree. For the most part, the DME companies I work with are now only providing machines which record the essentials.Janknitz wrote:The corollary here is you must INSIST that patients receive fully EFFICACY data capable machines. No bricks!

Re: Husband won't keep CPap mask on
Overit, these suggestions are correct. A proper pressure and mask are essential to helping your husband get a good night's rest, and you as well. He needs to schedule a sleep study to determine the severity of his breathing disorder, and then the ball will start to roll. Don't delay! This needs to g...

Re: Positive Reinforcement
I'd be much more interested hearing "Congratulations! Your monthly AHI is now down to only 1.7!! Keep up the great work!" Thanks for the reply! This is great help. I work in a clinic and am starting a PAP Compliance and Success Program and am looking for ways to help PAP users with their adherence....
