Re: Using ZEO with FitLife Mask! ??
Thanks Grand-PAP. Does the liner help with leaks or is it just for comfort? One other question...I have a Respironics S8 Elite II machine (I know it's old school) and I'm not sure which mask setting to choose or if I need to change any other settings, like EPR?

Re: Using ZEO with FitLife Mask! ??
Thanks! I checked out the website and there are a lot of great ideas there. I couldn't find anything specific for the FitLife mask. Is it a special order type of item?

Re: Using ZEO with FitLife Mask! ??
Thanks... great info!! Let me know how the Zeo works for you Sheriff Hi Sheriff, Well last night I slept with my FitLife Total Facemask and my new Zeo. I've attached two pictures showing the Zeo Band without the "Chinstrap" and one with it. The Zeo band stayed in place perfectly. I was never awaken...

Re: anyone had successful turbinate removal surgery
I had septoplasty/turbinectomy a few years back. If I compare how my breathing feels now versus then I don't notice much of a difference. Doctors thought the surgery would help my sleep apnea as well as my chronic sinusitis but I'm still on CPAP (at the same pressure) and I still suffer from chronic...

Re: Anyone here have Septoplasty or sinus surgery?
I had septoplasty and turbinectomy done in 2009 to fix a moderately deviated septum as well as to reduce the size of the turbinates in hopes of helping with chronic sinusitis. I would say that I probably went 2-4 weeks without using CPAP but the time frame may be different depending on the type of m...

Re: Newbie on forum. Want info on ResMed S8 Elite II.
Thanks for all the help! I was diagnosed with OSA almost 5 years ago which is when I was set up with the S8. I have since moved and there are no local DMEs that deal with ResMed, only Respironics. I would prefer to not have to buy a new machine as long as mine works but I am realizing how difficult ...

Re: Confused and frustrated...machines, AHI, etc.
I was looking at my data (on the machine since no local DME can read my data) and AHI has been between about 8 and 16 every night for the past month or so. When I look at the breakdown the AI is usually around 2 and the HI make up the rest. I understand that the machine reads high HI vs other machin...

Newbie on forum. Want info on ResMed S8 Elite II.
I'm new here and am still struggling with the search function a bit. I've been told that there is a ton of info on here about the S8 Elite II but I am apparently not searching correctly. I would like info on the AHI/HI on this machine which reads much higher on this machine than the loaner Respironi...

Re: ResMed Smart Card Reader
Another question before I purchase a card reader. I don't have a data card for my machine so I will also need one of those. I have looked online and I see what is refered to as a "data card" and a "smart media" card. I am assuming that they are the same because they look similar but I am not sure. I...

ResMed Smart Card Reader
I use a ResMed S8 Elite II. No local DMEs can read the smart card. Is there a way for me to obtain a card reader and software to check the data at home?

Re: Confused and frustrated...machines, AHI, etc.
I struggle with mouth breathing and am currently using a chin strap. I asked my DME about a full face mask but she didn't think I needed to change masks. I am just so confused about why the AHIs are so different between the machines. All local DMEs here use Respironics machines only. None are famili...

Re: Confused and frustrated...machines, AHI, etc.
The S8 was tested and it measures at the correct pressure. Both machines are set to a pressure of 13.

Confused and frustrated...machines, AHI, etc.
I am a newbie here but I'm not too new to cpap. I am a 32 year old woman. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and was compliant with treatment for about a year and a half. I never felt better with treatment and after multiple pressure changes and overnight oximetry tests with no improvement, I gave up. I us...
