Re: Feedback from men with beards Re: best facemask
I've got a full beard trimmed to 1/4-1/2" and I use the Quattro. It works ok, but I have to use the pad-a-cheek liner and a homemade anti-leak strap to really tuck that bugger onto my face. It's not so bad, though

Re: Question Regarding Low AHI and CA/OSA
I just wanted to provide an update on this. My AHI has still, consistently, been under 1, but I've woken up gasping for air twice in the past few weeks. It had only happened to me once before in my life, and now it's happened twice in a short period of time. I, instinctively, ripped my mask off as I...

Re: Tap Pap Review
Couple of mm isn't much of an overbite. I was thinking more along the lines of eating corn on the cob through a picket fence. My upper front teeth rest over my bottom teeth a little myself. Have you seen your dentist lately? Is the pain in the front teeth only or all the teeth in general? The first...

Re: unable to handle the mask
I have gone to get set with treatment. My problem is two fold. One I get claustrophobic and the pressure made me feel sick. The other problem is that I do not have feeling in my hands. This makes it impossible to attach and detach the mask. I am looking for alternatives. They finally gave me plain ...

I'm not sure. My central incisors extend past my bottom teeth by maybe a couple of mm

Re: Tap Pap Review
Benny, which model of tappap do you have the old one where it fits to all of your teeth or the new one with no fitting for the front teeth. http://c1199752.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/tap-pap-mouthpiece-old-and-new-cpapdotcom.jpg I've got the clear and white one that fits over the front of th...

Re: Tap Pap Review
Well, I remolded it and I wasn't even able to fall asleep before my teeth were aching. I'm not sure if my teeth/jaw is shaped weird so that I would have all these problems, or if I'm just very sensitive to the pressure of something pushing on my teeth. If I mold it so the front teeth don't have much...

Re: Tap Pap Review
I'm not really sure. I remolded it and I'll try it again when I head to bed here soon.ughwhatname wrote:Could the problem be an adjustment is necessary for the angle of the nasal pillows versus the mouthpiece fit?

Re: Tap Pap Review
I've refitted the Tap Pap 4 times trying to make sure that A) it will stay put with the mask's weight pushing down on it and B) not putting too much pressure on my front teeth. I've not been able to achieve both goals simultaneously, unfortunately. ! Can you describe what you mean when you say the ...

Re: Tap Pap Review
I'm using the newer one. I almost wish I had the first gen one since then maybe pressure would be pushing against the back of my teeth instead of the front.
I'll keep trying to get a good mold. For yours, if you open your mouth with the full mask and hose on, does it budge?

Re: Tap Pap Review
It takes a small bit of pressure to get it off, but not much at all. Yeah, the pain is very uncomfortable, like something literally pushing my teeth for 3 straight hours. I want to like it..I want to! It's so much less hassle than the quattro, but if I can't get the tooth pain figured out, I'll have...

Tap Pap Review
I just received my Tap Pap a few days ago, so here's what I think of it so far. This has been my first nasal pillow mask, and I was surprised that I actually liked the pillows. When I had my titration study done, I tried them on and took them off immediately. The first night I used the Tap Pap, it w...

Question Regarding Low AHI and CA/OSA
Hi folks, I was looking over my data in Sleepyhead and noticed something interesting. In neither of my two sleep studies did I have central apneas, but in SH it shows I am having clear airway apneas, which seem to look legitimate based on the flow on either side of the event. However, my AHI is cons...
