Tried the flonase as well. nothing but a more clogged nose.
My nights are improving, Im waking a lot less, maybe once or twice per night. Im just hoping for the days that I can feel fully fully rested, and look forward to them. Just hope I am not disappointed.

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
@need_some_sleep: If you haven't tried these yet, it might be worth a shot. The bullfrog swears by them. http://www.breatheright.com/ I have those and they DO NOT work for me. my nose closes and seals shut like gnomes come in and pour glue in my nose. No success whatsoever on that front. Im just ho...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
flying.. Im feeling pretty good. Im still getting used to the machine. There are still issues with mouth breathing, as I still can't keep my nose open overnight no matter what I have tried. I called my doctor's office, and they can see me in April regarding this problem. Since I already have another...

2nd night so much better than the first
What a difference a day makes.. This is how I remember feeling on waking once upon a while ago. I was able to fall asleep with the the mask on and I kept it on the entire night. I slept easily 8+ hours. my AHI fell from 22.3 the first night down to 11.0 and even with that I feel sooooooooo much bett...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
I will take a sleep aid to see if that helps at all. Im going to be mighty discouraged for a while during this time I get this all sorted out. Also, I have to mouth breathe because my nose completely closes shut no matter how much medication I take for it. This has been a life long problem with no s...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
Hi - stop resetting the ramp! Turn it off entirely and get used to the air pressure (it will happen quickly I bet) because every time you reset the ramp, you're starting out at a too-low-for-comfort pressure and your body hates it. Counterproductive at best. Read this posting about ramp: http://www...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
that would work, expect that my nose slams shut after a couple hours no matter how much medication I take to keep it open. Think how you would feel if someone poured epoxy into your sinuses, and that would be barely scratching the surface. Its like my body is fighting and fighting to stay fatigued a...

Re: first night no so good, feeling cursed
I had the humidity set at 4, but it and I could see the air making the water ripple so I know it was blowing across it, so I assume it is working correctly, and yet I had cottonmouth whenever I woke up. I made sure that I use distilled water. I thought a humidifier was supposed to add moisture. Who ...

first night no so good, feeling cursed
Had a lot of trouble going to sleep with the mask on. It took over three hours to get to sleep, and I had to reset the ramp every 15 minutes, and even with that I was waking every hour taking the mask off and drinking water to relieve the dryness. How is a heated humidifier not working properly that...

If I may ask, what machines would you consider "bricks"?

Finally going to get a machine
After three months or so, and it seems like it has been an eternity, I finally have a date for a machine to be issued, January 2nd 2014. I cannot tell you how much I have been wanting a machine so I can maybe just possibly be on my way to a restful nights sleep for the first time in years. I just th...

Re: Diagnosed with OSA but won't use CPAP. Why?
I for one, cannot wait to get back to it. Im just waiting for the insurance to approve the CPAP machine. I cannot wait to wake up feeling rested again. I had given up due to non compliance with the mask. No matter what I just couldn't keep it on. Look at my avatar.. that is what was going through my...

Re: New to cpap looking for support
Please do not give up on it. As one who gave up on it ten years ago I can say you will regret it very much if you give up. I only recently decided to come back into the fold and get back on a machine because the fatigue, headache, exhaustion and just plain not being a nice person because I felt exha...

post sleep study.
had my sleep study a couple nights ago. pat of the night I did spend with a full face mask on, and I have to say that after waking up I felt better than I have in The last ten years. I forgot what it felt like to sleep deeply into REM sleep. before the mask went on there was none of that. I now to s...
